A couple of months ago I made myself a quick leather wallet. I think it turned out pretty nice so I thought I’d make another one. This time I’ll show you how to make one too!
The design is pretty simple and could be adapted to lots of other materials.

Brian Oltrogge any possible way you sell one like this, I have one almost exactly like this but it doesn’t have the bill fold. Which I fell in love with. Please please in anyway could I buy this wallet from you.

Great wallet and video! Your work is always so well done. And the AvE reference was on point! As was the hamburger wrapper - that one took me a second though.

I made a very similar wallet myself based on your design. It's been an amazing wallet for personal use, I added in an extra flap for a windowed ID slot and I made the card slot shorter on the 4 1/2" side so it was more of a cover than a full slot because I had some trouble making mine easily accessible. All in all a great piece you designed, thanks for the video!

beautiful wallet! the rounded edges are a nice touch. for my personal taste I liked the raw chunkiness of the square edge to show off the thickness of that full grain leather. i would guess most viewers probably like the finished look. the great thing about making your own is making it your way! great video! thanks!

Bit late on the reply to this as I just saw the video, but he was completely honest with his title. He did use a piece of burger wrapper for making a wallet. Natural burger wrapper. After all, doesn't the skin wrap around what will one day become said burger? ;)

May I humbly make a few suggestions. For 5 ounce leather I would use a #1 beveler and for slicker edges try bringing them up to 300 grit sand paper and going in one direction only. Also, a stitching pony can help a lot with making your stitches even. Great video.

Out of curiosity, who downvotes videos like these? This is very good. Last week, I bought paracord to make myself a bracelet because I wasn't happy with the bracelets I've been seeing, so I learned to make one myself. And I did and it's better than the paracord bracelets I've been searching for at camping stores, amazing and sport stores. Now I'm looking for a minimalist wallet that fits my criteria. I can't find one. I have to make one. Thanks. This will be my next project. Can you answer me one thing though: how much money is a project like this? On paracord I spent $20 (100ft 550 and 32ft 325 for trial and error before perfecting my bracelet...and a lighter). I'm patient when it comes to funding.
