After that second one Matt should consider some reverse lights and deck lights on that trailer. Some cheap amazon ones make night time loading and maneuvering so much easier with my trailer, and the wiring is already on the 7-pin

Awesome channel, love the attitude you guys take whenever you work together and apply the science. Paul: Bald tires.... Hard to believe isn't it? Off the beaten path, out in the middle of nowhere, alone, deep snow, dark dead of night, , minus temperatures, I think I'd be more interested in knowing what the heck they were thinking. This is the way I see it, God gave you and Matt an extra heaping of common sense to go rescue the folks who didn't get any. 👍👍

He was using the heavier pickup to pull the trailer. You really have to be careful pulling a loaded trailer with an XJ in slippery conditions. I used to drive a friend's XJ, pulling a flat trailer with his Formula Ford race car on it. I think he figured since I had a commercial driver's license I'd be better at handling that vehicle. Once with it I ended up in a long line of traffic approaching a draw bridge and had to very be careful when people in front of me weren't paying attention and started slamming on their brakes. I was very gently modulating the brakes and the trailer still tried to lift the back of the Jeep. I know Matt gets a lot of miles out that Jeep and trailer but I think he's pretty careful with it.

The difference between solid axle and IFS. I drive a Subaru Forester currently, an older model but well looked after. I had a 76 F100 rear drive and I used to take that truck places I would never dream of taking the Subaru. The sccoby offers a comfortable compromise between highway and tracks but is not an off road vehicle although the new AT tyres have made a difference but I want another solid axle F truck.

I also have both, an all wheel drive sedan and an old F250 Super Duty pickup. The second page in the BMW 330xi Owner's Manual clearly states, "This is NOT an off road vehicle." It actually has 3/4" additional ground clearance over the regular 330i sedan (2 wheel drive) but I don't think that's enough to get excited about. I used to sell BMWs and Subarus in another lifetime and those are both nice cars but they're really intended to make living in areas with snowed in roads in the winter more easy to live with. They're also not bad in wet icy roads if the driver has the common sense to drive within the limits of the conditions.

they make cable plugs for forklifts that you can use for your jumper cables hook short wire too the battery and mount one plug in your grill or other spot and cut your clamps off one end of jumper cables and install the other plug ,,saves from having too pop the hood too jump start a car ..could do the same thing if you had a winch you remove all the time .. great video if you did not go Matt might still be in the snow drift lol

I've just cut the axle shaft off with a zipcut then no need to worry about it flopping around. The axle is toasted anyways.

I tell ya what Paul. I'm a sub to both of your channels. Love Matts channel cuz i'm a jeep guy.I love your channel cuz I'm an industrial fab guy. I've watched about all of both of your videos. Also I'm a Minnesota boy, so I get snow. Here's what I got outta this...Watched his. Watched yours. And if I was you, I'd turn this screw deep. Everyone has that "buddy" they call when they aren't feeling overly sure of themselves. I know I do. It would seem you are that guy for Matt. There's no shame in that Matt. Sometimes ya just need a guy on sight who can tell ya " ya got this, it's fine". LOL You guys rock! Also, good job on the oil change ma'am! I don't think you cackle...Is that how that's spelled?
