Do you take requests? Something by Sufjan Stevens or Nick Drake would be amazing.
@ethandaum4 жыл бұрын
My list of requests and songs I've been meaning to do is pretty long - but you can float another one out there! Nick Drake and Sufjan are some of my favorites, so I'm definitely open to doing something from them. In fact Which Will by Nick Drake is already on my personal list :)

Hi Ethan. I really like your cover. It's perfect! Can you tell me some of the chord changes you're making? It's hard to see exactly what's going on. Looks like it starts in C w/capo 6. Can you tell me how to do the little bass walk down during each verse? Thanks.
@ethandaum3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Let's see, it's the 8th fret, starting on a G. Then you kind of hammer on to the D and B strings, so it sort of becomes a C/G. The bass walk up starts with the open A string, and then you walk to the 2nd and then third fret. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!

Thanks again but could you tell me the other chords for the verse? It looks like D and Am but I think I'm missing something. Is there a D7? I really want to learn this song. Thanks so much.

@@72seeker72 Let's see, we covered the G and C hammer ons, and the G to C walk up. "Everyone is so kind" is C to G. "Everyone looks like a long lost friend of mine" is Am7 then x20010 (walking up) to C, then D7, G. "I'm on top of the world again" through to "Up from under Babylon" is: Am7 D7/F# G C G D C

Wonderful! Thank you! I will keep trying. I played it all the way through today without messing up the lyrics so I'm on my way. I really appreciate your help!

Somehow I missed this one. Jealous of your singing voice, been pushing myself to sing while playing. It's hard for someone like me who never sings, not even in the shower or driving alone for 2 hours with the stereo maxed out.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I say keep singing! Nothing to lose by practicing, right? :)
