I bought the Manfrotto MVG460 a year ago, really amazing gimbal, the payload that you can charge it's anough for videographers like me that use full frame and have lenses... I totally recomend!

Hi, great video. Quick question, I own a Sony A7III with a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD. Do I need the Follow Focus for Manfrotto Gimbals or am I good with the follow focus from the A7III? Thank you.

hi, I needed to know if a Manfrotto Follow Focus device should work regardless of whether the camera is connected to the gimbal or not? I just purchased a Manfrotto Follow Focus but it doesn't work, I point out that my Nikon D3200 is not compatible with the MGV 220 Gimbal, thanks for any response.

I bought the 220 versin before two weeks… It died during shots (after 30 minutes of filming). I had to plug the charger to resurect it. The bext day the focua motor died (mechanically)… Is there anybody else with the same issues.

Hi Andrei, that's unfortunate to hear. However, that does not sound like a usual case. We would recommend further escalating this to the retailer you have purchased it from as we're sure it would still be under warranty.

I also had the MVGFF (the folowfocus motor) die on my instantly after connecting it. it's now in for repairs. it spun about one revolution and then died. I pressume it's a manufacturing defect. I do have problems with getting any camera working with using the wheel for zoom or followfocus (hence i bought the follow focus motor) - I tried both nikon and Sony (ZVE10). It feels like software support from Manfrotto is somewhat lacking - anybody who got zoom working from the gimbal on sony cameras?

Have you ever tried the inception shot from a jib perspective? With the camera facing down to the ground and then pulling up your gimbal?

how can you mount an LED on this GVM220 gimbal? There are no 1/4" inch threads on this except the top handle. Are there any accessories available for this gimbal?

The Manfrotto 220 gimbal has ¼ threads on both sides at the top of the main handle as well as on the bottom of the handle. There is also one on the top of the top( Axis) of the camera plate that would move with the camera (depending on amount of tilt used with the gimbal). So there are quite a few options to use accessories with the gimbal.

@@GeorgesCamerasTV thanks for tips, yes I see the 1/4” thread on top but that would require you to balance the gimbal according to the weight of the LED. The side wholes is where the top handle is threaded in. I thin I would use a separate lightweight light stand

nice gimble, but kind of reminds me of a "STEADICAM tango", you know the steadycam with the crane attachment on the side??- think this product is a "cheap" knock_off of the tango!!

this is a terrible product. i bought the 460 out off the box it has been in service for most of the time i've had it. The batteries were licking again out of the box and now its again in service because it won't balance out. Now i'm waiting for service in Belgrade to see what Manfrotto says in iitaly possible replacement but still c'mon Manfroot what a disappointment.
