Moksha is the highest and ultimate goal of Human life. When one is goes beyond all finitude, when one realizes one's own true nature, when one gets established in one's own Self, one gets liberated (attains Moksha). The journey of the wealthy businessman named Kotikarna from ignorant egoistic lifestyle to ultimate liberation is the medium to present this concept. Kotikarna was so proud of his wealth and possessions that he used to think he could even buy respect and goodwill with his money. Even charity was done by him with lot of ego. One day when a monk asked him for his ego, it shook him up. He became restless with the question - "Who am I?" Finally, he did find the answer and lasting peace. He understood that when one understands that one is not this body, he/she gets liberated from the cycle of birth and death. Knowing one's true nature is alone Moksha.
The moral of the story "The Saint and the Robber" is about understanding the true nature of self and the pursuit of liberation from material and egoistic attachments. The narrative contrasts the perspectives of a saint, who seeks spiritual liberation and recognizes the eternal soul, with those of ordinary people and a robber, who are focused on material wealth and superficial identities. It teaches that true wealth lies in spiritual enlightenment and inner peace, rather than in physical possessions or societal status.

मैं यहां आचार्य प्रशांत जी की वजह से ही आया हूं। वेदों और उपनिषदों को फिल्मी भाषा में समझाना बहुत ही अच्छा कार्य है। उपनिषद गंगा को देखना और स्वामी चिन्मयानंद जी के जीवन को जानना, आचार्य जी के बिना संभव नहीं था।

@@xyz-iz2kfऐसा कुछ नही है भाई जी। आप उनसे फ्री में भी सीख सकते हो, छात्रवृति ले कर। आज बिना पैसे के प्रचार प्रसार करना संभव नहीं है और उनकी संस्था का कोई मंदिर भी नही बनवाई जिससे दान आ सके। इसलिए आम लोग को ही दान करना पड़ेगा। वह भी गीता और उपनिषदों का अर्थ ही समझाते है। और चिन्मय मिशन भी यही काम कर रहा है जिसका वीडियो आप देख रहे है।

बिना पैसे के आमलोगों तक पहुंचाना सरल नही हैं या तो अपने को समर्पित करना पड़ता हैं तब ज्ञान मिलता हैं या फिर पैसा देना पड़ता हैं अमूल्य ज्ञान पाने के लिए तो फिर आचार्य प्रशांत पैसा ले तो क्या गलत हैं। ज्ञान पाने के लिए गुरु दक्षिणा तो देना ही पड़ेगा । और चीजों में तो हम पैसा लूटा लेते हैं पर अच्छे काम को free में पाना चाहते हैं ये कैसे संभव है।

वर्षो पहले में इसी शहर में रहता था ! उस समय लोग मुझे, श्रेष्ठी कोटिकरण के नाम से जानते थे ! अब यह शरीर, उस नाम से अलग है ! अब मैं, उस शरीर को नहीं पहचानता ! उस शरीर का, एक विशाल भवन था ! इस शरीर का सारा संसार है ! पहले वह शरीर, सब को अलग-अलग देखता था ! अब यह शरीर स्वयं को सब में देखता है ! वह दुनिया जीतना चाहता था ! अब में खुद को जीतना चाहता हूँ ! तब में भिक्षा देता था, अब में भिक्षा लेता हूँ ! उपनिषद् गंगा-12 ...... कोटिकरण एक बात मेरी समझ में नहीं आई -- वह क्या है, जिसे पाने के लिए कोटि करण ने, अपना सब कुछ लूटा दिया ! सब कुछ लूटा कर, उन्होंने क्या पाया ? क्यों-- कात्यानी को अब, इस अंगूठी का मोह नहीं रहा ! किस बन्धन को काटने की बात कर रही थी, वह ? वह क्या है- जो सुख, सम्पति, यश, वैभव और सत्ता से महान है ? वह क्या है, जिसे पाने के लिए कोटि करण ने, अपना रास्ता बदल लिया ! मैं हारा नहीं प्रभु(कोटि करण), मैं, वोह पाकर रहूँगा, जो आपके पास है ! आपके पीछे-पीछे चलूँगा,जब तक उसे पा नहीं लेता !.......सत्यवादी चोर, कोटि करण से कह रहा है ! कोटि करण के अपने अहंकार, अपनी इन्द्रियों की दासता से मुक्ति ! कात्यानी के अपने, मोह और सुख के चाह से मुक्ति ! सत्यवादी चोर को अपने, अज्ञान से मुक्ति ही मोक्ष है !........उपनिषद् गंगा 12 विडंबना है, जो स्वयं, सत् चित्त आनन्द है, वह बाहर सुख ढूढ़ रहा है . !!

Of all the 4 episodes I watched till now on Purushārtha, this one resonates the most... Artha was also very meaningful, chanakya so beautifully explains on artha gained through dharma and the rain and tax donation analogy was spot on. Nishkama Karma done using Dharma is the only way to save our selves from this Maya...artha gained from this kriya is what propels is forward in this world it's merely a tool.
