He LOVED UPCHURCH!he was very patriotic.... loved his country and his friends didn't give a shit about money hated the government. Good Lord, I remember back in the day one of UpChurch's songs, said something along the lines "One day I'll be fine tuned like a Stratocaster." My God, The chorus line gives me chills. @@money2013 Anyone can be offended. It's not hard. Jesus said many would be offended in these times and they would hate one another and betray one another and their hearts would grow cold. Jesus associates being offended with hatred. Being offended is what hung Jesus on the cross. God says it's a glory to overlook an offence. God would not want us to hurt anyone in word or in action and that is not what Upchurch is doing. He is being honest about his southern roots and why he is independent. If you believe in God what will you do when someone is offended by the cross around your neck or if someone is offended when you read your Bible. Black people built this country and this country should have apologized to them a long time ago but being offended by something that was out of our control is not right either. Thank God this is a different day and time. It's the same thing with guns. Do you want your government to have guns but you can't? Hell no! The second ammendment was to keep your government honest. When you start letting people take away your freedoms and take awayy our rights and then you yourself will not be free. This is a free country. Thank God for that. It is a privilege we all have and fight for because many soldiers died for us to have those rights. We can't change the past but we can be free now. Southern people are some of the nicest people you will ever meet but there are assholes in every crowd. Love and understanding works alot better. I hate what the black people went thru. It was totally unnecessary. Abraham Lincoln Knew even I. His day that it would always be a problem. That's what greedy selfish people do but just because someone is from the south doesn't mean they agree with that. These are our roots and that is why it is important that we all are free and independent and not enslaved!!!
