I love how he embraces his Hillbilly, Holler heritage, and being called a dirty creeker. I grew up in the holler, and people who were from towns called us county people dirty creekers because that's where we played. In the creek and the Appalachians were our playground. I wouldn't change that for anyone or anything. Best way to grow up. By the time you were twelve years old as a Hillbilly, you'd already developed and learned enough life skills to make it in the world. I left home for over twenty years before I came back. People out West tried calling me Hillbilly to get under my skin, or they were jealous about something. I always took it as a compliment. Church shows that hard work can take you places if you're willing to put in the time and effort. It doesn't matter where you come from or the shade of your skin. Work hard, be successful. Nobody said the American dream was supposed to be handed to you. You gotta work HARD for it.
