Let's take two soup cans from my kitchen, and a piece of scrap plywood and create cute wall pockets. This was a really subtle project but imagine all the possibilities. You can even use larger cans to create larger wall pockets.
We'll be using Iron Orchid Design's Barnwood Plank, with IOD Ink in Stone Gray. We'll also be Using Wise Owl Chalk Synthesis Paint in Antique Villa and Wise Owl Varnish in Matte.

You made a very upscale look out of materials most people have on hand via board and cans. The end look is well worth the labor you put into it. Anyone with an ounce of creativity can adapt your ideas to adjust materials they may not have on hand, (shown in your video). Good work.

Royce,I just found you and your channel,and You're awesome!!! The wall pockets are so cute,so easy to make and yet so Awesome ,and a recycled decor.piece too.......a rubber mallet,or even a hammer will work so much easier especially when crimping the ends of the can,if using a hammer place some type of towel,onto can so the hammer don't leave huge endentions from the head( circular spots) ,saves on over working the hands so much especially if anyone is like me and suffer with rheumatoid arthritis....... I need to upload the one I made to you. I've got you added to my watch faves and have subscribed so I can watch you perform that awesome magic on your diys!! Hugs and blessings,from southern indiana

Hello Royce...not sure if anyone mentioned this before but you might get more bang for your buck if you use pool noodles instead of those foam circles to hold your flowers. DT has plenty of those in stock now and they do come in green.... because they're squishy you probably don't even need to glue them in. You just press them into your container and they stay put.. You can slice them to the right size using a serrated knife...works like a charm

Wow, I LOVE THIS!!! I was wondering if I can do the same glaze technique on my wall. I used those barn wood stamps on an accent wall but have never been in love with it. So I I take a clear glaze first and apply to top, let dry, then apply and wipe off a colored glaze, would I get a same type of effect? I just love this!!!
@Roycycled
@Roycycled 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, you can absolutely glaze your wall. Yes, be sure and seal the surface first, so you have more control over how dark your surface gets. I would use a clear coat/varnish to seal your wall. Then you can apply the dark glaze, and wipe back. 🤗
