5:08 HARD AGREE it didn't work for me lol. If anything, it made me lose my self confidence. The instructors were always in a rush. I told them I wanted to choose UPM and UPD as my first and second campus choices (respectively) and that I'm fine with not passing the exam (if I'm not able to pass both campuses) and they suddenly went ballistic lol. They even slipped-it would affect their passing rate raw, since I don't participate as much and I looked like someone with low scores. They basically assumed I would not pass lol. That really was the straw for me and I ended up becoming severely disheartened to the point where I went "yOLOOOO" and stopped studying over summer and during G12. I flunked all the mock exams. I think my mock scores didn't even make it to Open U cutoff score? It was only until the last week that I crammed studying because I realized I only applied to Big 4 and my wallet's gonna die if I study in the other three univs. I was ready to find sugar daddies to help me financially during college but sIKE biggest plot twist of my life I passed all my CETs including UPCAT (first choice). We were asked to relay to them kaagad if we passed our CETs daw pero no lmaoOOOO I will never contact them about my results. Mas okay pa na isipin nilang wala akong naipasa. Wow sharer ko bye

literally crushed all hope hearing that these people are some of the brightest and with little margin for error, whilst I continue to only dream about it. :/

Back in '98 I graduated maybe 15th-20th sa buong high school graduating class of about 250 students. Private school ito. I also reviewed in these "review centers", which helped in the sense that it primes your mental endurance and focus in an examination situation. But your fundamentals ay magsisimula talaga sa mga natutunan mo sa highschool. It is very important that 2-3 years before taking the UPCAT eh seryoso ka nang matuto sa school at unti-unti mo nang ine-establish yung foundations mo sa science, math, etc. I passed the UPCAT, architecture sa UPD, pero UPLB called and offered me a slot in Computer Science. Apparently mataas yung score ko sa math. In 2002, I graduated with a degree in Computer Science. PS, If anyone thinks na ok na lahat kapag nakapasa ka na ng UPCAT, then think again. your next challenge will be graduating on time, or maybe graduating at all. =)

Hello sa tingen niyo po how does UP choose student since walang UPCAT

i can't with the 100 highest grade. nahiya ang 95 na highest ko:((

I got 99 sa Creative Writing ko as a grade 11 Humss student. Panira lang talaga yung teacher ko na nagbigay ng 82 sa math ko eh ilang buwan kaming walang ginawa sa klase niya at nagpakapetiks lang siya sa gen math baka dahil siguro Humss student lang naman kami so math is not our main focus. If hindi sana nagpakapetiks yung teacher ko sa math, baka naka-gain din ako 95 kasi hindi naman ako kulelat pero hindi rin naman ako katalinuhan sa subject na yan. Tamang pag-aaral lang. Kakainis lang talaga. Nadungisan yung lagi kong 90+ na grade sa math tapos mag a-aim pa ako mag UP nito ah HAHAHAHAHAHA Gagalingan ko nalang ngayong grade 12 baka sakaling may miracle na mangyari at makagraduate ako sa top 10 ng school ko Edit: relate ako kay kuya na last.Up until Grade 10 nasa private school ako pero since kapos na kami ngayon dahil nga pandemya eh napilitan ako mag public and anyare sa grade ko? Ayan naging 82 math ko dahil bulok sistema ng school ko.🥲

I got a 99% rating in math in UPCAT. Didnt enroll in any review center. Didnt take other admission test (ramdam ko sa UP lang ako hehe) Also passed A.P.E. in math17. Finished a degree in Applied MAth. Now Im a mathematician. Btw my student number is 95-________. Matanda nako hehehe

Bakit halos lahat ng mayayaman nakakapasok sa UP ehh may kaya naman sila, sana palitan ng UP yung admission nila into percentage based depending on the country's statistic income classes, kasi napaka unfair.
