Great job, good luck! I am also looking at making an alternative system. Haven't used your kit but similar principle using direct sprocket drive and plastic chain link.

I am a bit concerned that the coefficient of wood may be too much and that plastic supports will give better results

Where could one find those plastic chains? are they from a specific brand or factory?
