Don’t care much for non-conventional, do you, one crowd pleaser after another, don’t you like Tom Ford, Amouage, Comme des Garcons, Serge Lutens, Nasomatto, Xerjoff, Guerlain, Armani and Dior Prive lines etc? Obviously there’s no right or wrong in fragrance taste but I think it’s safe to say that one should explore old classics like Guerlain and niche fragrances on one’s “journey”, if only to widen one’s horizons. I don’t claim to be an expert here but in my experience one’s taste evolves, it’s impossible, for the most part, to keep liking the same fragrances all the time. Another thing I noticed is how quickly I get bored with some frags, stuff like Invictus, Million, Bleu, many Creeds, they have some initial appeal but they’re not really something to explore.

Hi Joy, I've been researching up fragrances after only starting last month. I was hoping for some help in trying to find a signature scent and I'll give you some details of what I'm trying to find. I'm 27 and male. Olive skin and slim. I have dark looks, brown eyes, hair, beard etc but overall Caucasian. I'm telling you this because I'm also trying to find a fragrance which matches my look. I like Oriental / spicy based fragrances which are masculine and have a middle eastern / desert / Egyptian style smell. I also like other notes such as honey, rum and especially incense. Basically, something unique, almost middle eastern/Egyptian and more of a smell which isn't necessary for compliments or whatever others think - but a signature smell for myself. The fragrances which appear close to my description which I am going to purchase from research are: L`Air du Desert Marocain Lubin - Idole Bentley for Men Intense by Bentley Comme des Garcons Comme des Garcons Series 3 Incense: Ouarzazate. Roughly thee types of fragrances - which remind you of pyramids, ancient Egypt, myrrh, incense etc. This is all the information I can provide at this time and I'd be grateful if you or even anyone else has some views on a fragrance which roughly matches my description.
