To find the mod folder from the Mod manager you can also just click "Go" and select "Open mods folder", otherwise great video thanks ! my vortex didn't work when i tried modding but thankfully it works with the bg3 mod manager !

She forgot to mention the most important part: In the Mod Manager hit settings > open preferences, and make sure the Saved Load Order Path is set to: C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public Save the settings. And then File > save load order as > use the name it suggests. That will fix any issue with modding u have it seems.

I wish, that at least when you were in camp, you could automatically access anyone's inventory without having to swap out the main party members. It would make moving the better armor and and weaponry around to the appropriate characters so much easier.

If you hit tab you can open everyone's inventory at once.

yea, i think im gonna get the party limits begone mod for that reason, just to remove an extra step of dismissing a party member before adding the member you want to take items off.

Does it not let you, basically, pick pocket them? I know it does with the main party members, but I'd have to check.

I've discovered that if you actually go to the item slot on your character for applicable items to equip, that it actually pulls from all companion equipment (I think currently equipped) (like if you dismiss a companion with a necklace or ring etc you want, if you click the item slot, it'll be available to equip)

@@AnelorGalor I'm new to using anything other than vortex and got confused by the settings and preferences being shown for steam, but then manually downloading into the local appdata folder. So I changed the mod path to the local app data folder and that's how I came to my original question after seeing this comment switch another location to a similar folder. Sorry for potentially overexplaining, but I think I still need help and that should give some context. I think the rest is default

@@sapphoris ask away. I am new to BG3 mod manager but other wise I ve been modding for 15 years now. So essentially. what I saw when I used this tool. I had to only change the profile pointer. The mod folder and executable been automatically correct in detecting my installation.

Protip: Putting %appdata% into the address bar in explorer will take you right to appdata, then just go up one folder with that up arrow, then local->larian->BG3->mods

Just a note on the Basket mod you were using as the example. It didn't have requirements - those were mods that required the Basket mod. :)

@@Mmogurl Oh it's definitely helpful. I tried modding the game immediately after it launched, and basically had to delete documents and files because the game wouldn't let me load. Nexus worked during the beta, but it's definitely isn't now. But anywho, now I just gotta wait for more Male Half Orc cosmetic mods so I can live out my actual DnD fantasies lol

For those who's mods don't show whenever you refresh BG3 Mod Manager, you can go to File > Import mod You'll have to manually import mods but at least it will work

Also, quick question about your workflow. Do you write a script for your voiceover? Or is it just an outline? It sounds extremely natural and it's something I've struggled with when it comes to public speaking.

I've actually been thinking about suggesting more mods, so that is definitely in the cards although I'd probably make a mod per video until I've tried out some more. I honestly don't play with too much at this point just because the client is still new and I'm not sure how unstable it will get. But I have several off hand I can think of that would be great to suggest! Also.. thank you for the compliment! I do try to get the point across and clearly, but at this point I've had years and years of creating content! In most cases, I write a script so you can avoid the dreaded "umm" that usually occurs when you improvise.. But I've also streamed a good bit by now which helps with getting used to public speaking. This video I did improvise because I wanted the instructions to line up with what I was doing on the screen without a ton of editing. So, it can be either or :) Thanks for the comments and I'll def put more mod stuff on the list! I have a lot of romance scenes to get through as well which is another big staple of what I do here on this channel!

Just found your channel, I've been using Vortex for pretty much every games I own but saw multiple times it was best not to use it for BG3, since it's my first time modding it, I don't want to screw things up. I dont get why downloading mods has to be such a massive pain in the ass. Did everything step by step, got a red ! saying script extender not installed. Installed that, moved the file into my bin, refreshed mod manager, still says [MISSING] Requires Script Extender v10 or Higher (No installed extender version found)

Ever since the hotfix or patch or whatever that happened a week ago not a single mod that I have will work. I repeat…NONE! Litterally I have been trying for days to get them all to work again and I usually use bg3 mod manager and then I just tried Vortex manager…this is driving me crazy. I even tried uninstalling then re-installing the game itself. Seriously I know its not this hard. I'm starting to wonder if the game is disabling them automatically somehow.🤦🏻‍♂️

I cant seem to get mod fixer to run? its on the override catagory but ppl say it overides everything it works but i get naked men standing in game instead of going to character creations screen. You forgot to add that you need the patch3modfixer mod in order for anything to work. Otherwise the game just loads with you on a map and a bunch of naked men for new character or nothing working in a saved game

After the newest hotfix I'm getting a message whenever I try to load my save saying that my mods were enabled in the save but are not disabled and the game might be unstable. When I try to load the save it crashes me to desktop. Do you know how to enable the mods again? I've tried updating them and reinstalling.

4:48 Those are NOT requirements for this mod. If you read carefully, right bellow "Requirements" you can see "This mod does nothave any known dependenciesother than the base game." in bold. What you were looking at was "Mods requiring this file", which is self explanatory.

It doesn't have requirements but other mods require it to work. If you look at the text above it, it says that it doesn't need anything other than the base game.

Nice, quick easy video. However, I do wish tutorials would also pre-answer the most common questions like... Can I disable all mods easily so as to play another saved game in Vanilla BG3 and then switch back for the other saved game I have with mods? This is what I'm currently searching for an answer to. I have 3 different games I'm soloing and one multiplayer I'm playing with a friend. I want mods for only one of my solo games and then want to revert to vanilla to play the others.

Just FYI, the mod you used does not require any other mod like you mentioned. You confused it for those mods listed required the mod you used. So like you used mod A and then went to the requirements tab. Mod B, C and D all require Mod A but mod A does not rewuire mod B, C or D.

Some files downloaded are not compressed zip or just the regular it is RAR instead. Those ones doesn't work in ptting in the mod manager. How can I make it work?

Hi, I have no warning messages and have everything ticked off even requirements for certain mods. However some aren't working in game. 50% seem to be ok, I have script extender installed which shows on BG3 Mod Loader, is my load order wrong perhaps? and how do you know what order to put them in? :)

I rejiggled my load order and made sure it was set to current and deleted all other possible loads so it was my only one sorted it all out! Hope it works for you too@@kaidarnold6520

You can also import mods from the download directly in the BG3 mod manager

@@Mmogurl yes go to file and import mod. Trust me it will make your life way easier. The only mods that do not show up are ones that you add to your data folder ie (generated and public).

I've seen a lot of mods in nexus that need to be droped into the game data itself. Could you cover a tutorial on those maybe? (ie. Custom dice, appearance changes for companions, etc)

You know how frustrating it was trying to find out why the one mod I'm trying to use wouldn't work, and other guides seem to think other people looking at guides for this know what they're doing, only to then figure out all I had to do was drag it over to 'active mods'? 3:26 was pretty much my entire problem and NO ONE else mentioned to do this. if you are at "put the mod in the proper locasion" if you are stuck and manualy try to search the filed you won't find them, instead go to bg3 mod mananger and go where it says shortcuts and it will make all the files show up instantly for you. this may just be a me problem or maybe i was to dumb to understand but yea
