Welcome to my updated Q&A, Get to know me vlog,
I have recently gained a fair few new subscribers so i thought it would be a good idea to do a sit down chatty get to know me video going over some frequently asked questions
Don't forget to subscribe to @KarenBadrick1 to follow along with our journey
Here I share my journey from a complete novice horse rider to now competing at horse of the year (HOYS) shows whilst being a completely self-taught equestrian.
I have failed so many times over the years but always learnt something from it, I hope that my KZfaq channel will be able to help teach you all the little bits that nobody seems to share and help progress you on your riding journey quicker than I did on mine.
why not check out these previous videos
Champs journey - • My horse champ’s journ...
How to measure your horse for a rug - • How to measure your ho...
Equifest day 1- • The last ever equifest...
Equifest day 2 - • The last ever equifest...
I compete my 4 Welsh section D cobs regularly in both in hand and ridden showing, from local level shows, affiliated, WPCS, RIHS, to HOYS qualifiers,
Willow - 11yr old Welsh section D - Sooty palomino
Gambler - 9yr old Welsh section D - Black roan
Champ - 7yr old Welsh section D - Buckskin
Donut - 2yr old Welsh section D - Chestnut roan
I am a completely self-taught horse rider who has a big dream to compete at HOYS, why not follow my journey to see if we can make it,
I'm not perfect and I make mistakes but what we learn from it is what truly matters.
if you like what you see then please like and subscribe, it will really help me out to share my page with more like-minded people looking to go up the levels in the showring,
I regularly upload videos and vlogs on what me and my equines get up to and also some 'How to' videos for my beginner riders and fellow equestrians.
If you have any questions, then please leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

I love your channel Karen,your passion and enthusiasm for what you do with your horses is truly inspiring. You keep it real and I think that’s great! It’s lovely to see a channel that is dedicated to showing. Showing is my thing too and I have achieved the ambition and qualified for and ridden at HOYS and RIHS several times on more than one horse, mine were show hacks . I did it all myself and it’s certainly not easy. I really hope you achieve your dream ,I’ll be rooting for you all the way 😊 xx

I've been following you about 18months now. I came across your chanel searching "how to" in the show ring and was shocked by Lewis's professionalism with the in hand showing. This video shows exactly why people continue to follow you, Your a real person, your upbringing and family is what I call normal like myself it's refreshing in a false world, we can relate to you. isn't it annoying how they go round the field snorting, elevated and looking bloody amazing we can't get it in the show ring 😂 re - willows tail I think it's what worries the judges but I wish they'd ask you about it. Willow is a stunning looking horse and such a good boy, Keep doing what your doing, don't be influenced x

Hi i love watching your channel because it's Welsh D's, me & a friend bred D's many years ago (Essendon Welsh Cobs near Hatfield Hertfordshire) so sort of know the area you're in, i now live in Somerset & lost my last D 2 years ago, a gelding that we bred, he pretty much did everything, showing, dressage, jumping etc. I no longer ride because of health issues but love to watch your journey, keep up the good work & i wish you & Lewis every success in the future x

Congratulations on your 2 yr anniversary, hope you have many more. A message to Lewis, bro I didn't like the sound of my voice at 14yrs old , a lot of it was down to self doubt and confidence issues, it does and will get better just be yourself, am thinking of doing some social media posts , and some KZfaq vids, would love to have you as a guest.. All the best to you and your Mum for this season and beyond.. 👍💯

Thank you so much 😊 Lots of the big equestrian channels are all still at ‘mummy and daddy’s yard’ and have money and hired help, I assumed that’s what everyone wanted to see and I wouldnt get anywhere because I was normal and struggle along daily, But I’m now beginning to see that the normal ups and downs with horses is what people want to see xx

Thank you so much ❤️ Yes I’m hoping as he grows up he will realise we all hate our voices on camera but we get used to it, The whole goal was for me to start a channel, teach him what to do then he was going to start his own channel showing his journey with Gambler, I still hope he does get the confidence to do this in time xx

Hi angel, i got into ur channel, SIMPLY AS YOU ARE NORMAL, no disrespect to the others. Plus, you may not see it but you are funny too. Xx I could help but not in your area as i fully comprehend welsh Ds must be like a volcano but not nuts, tons of fizz, sharp as a razor, i admit i only do mares, help always there, well done hugs to donut, AND i know he is tall not filled, but my sec D was like that till 5 yrs old they had great top line and rounded in weeks, i did nothing diff have heart dont worry xx
@KarenBadrick1
@KarenBadrick1 Ай бұрын
Thank you so much, Yes not many people understand the welsh are meant to be bonkers but not dangerous so to find someone to teach me this way is hard, Donut is taking his time filling out 😂 I know there all different but he seems to just be going up in height now instead of filling out haha xx
