Updating my Scuf Envision Pro so you don't have to! [Version 0.14.62]

In this video we pray to the roller gawds that the update doesn't "brick" our controller like the recent updates have been doing for many users online. After about five months with the Scuf Envision Pro I finally can update the firmware to V.0.14.62
Long story short it worked! Here's the time stamps if you wanna check the whole thing out.

thanks for the video. I aint updating tho.... lol. I had so many problems with the controller when i first got it. Its my favorite controller I have ever used and I dont wanna mess it up now that it works for me.

Awesome man! I hope your Scuf treats you well when you get it! Also the mic is a Deity VO-7U it’s a really nice mic. I got it last December on a end of the year sale for like $80 and been meaning to make a video on it.

Before I watch this I already updated my shit and I got my controller two days ago infaxt before I used it I updated it. Works fine and wonderful did not know people said not to update

Well I’m glad to hear that the software issues are finally thinning out. I never had much issues myself but a large portion of the communist were ending up with broken controllers 😓

Luck of the draw worked for you. It caused my triggers to be constantly activating and randomly disconnects now. Used to have firmware 0.7.xx

Damnnn! That’s rough man; I mean is the trigger thing something fixable with the dead zone adjustments? Also is your wireless adapter plugged into a usb 3.0? I would hope there’s some sort of fix but sorry to hear your having issues bro.

After this update, did you have any problems with the iCUE app? Like, buttons stopping working in the middle of the game because of the app.

Nah man I didn’t! Also they just came out with an even more recent update. I been testing it out and it made the appearance of the app to be more functional. Gave a cleaner layout and I’ve had zero disconnects since updating to the newest version as well. I’d say it’s safe to update and enjoy the new iCue app facelift.

Mines is updated to the same version. But it doesn’t show that Hardware mapping section. & my back triggers lag a lot. They doing work properly

Sorry didn’t reply earlier! Idky the hardware mapping wouldn’t be showing but I would start with the triggers deadzone to be adjusted to zero and then set them to zero in whatever game your playing as well. I typically set my triggers to zero in the in game settings if it allows me and then I dial it in with the icue settings till they feel responsive.

funny enough the problems i have currently are that i cant use my envision on apex after the update but most other games it works fine

Honestly yeah built in Bluetooth receiver would be awesome and a working track pad like the DS5 would make it perfect

@@pizzaxavi yup had to go with the xbox scuff since it was gonna b dedicated for my steam deck. So far not bad but i like the ds5 style more cus of habit

Are your thumb sticks fine? I have this issue where my left stick won’t recenter its self 😢and I’ve been trying to deal with it but it’s getting annoying might have to cave in and get a battle beaver. I’m just asking since you have been using yours longer than mine. Also I’ve updated the whole time I’ve had no issues with that. But physically my stick is acting up… pause lol thanks for the vid

Dang man sorry to hear that. My thumb sticks haven’t had any issues with them drifting luckily; they recenter themselves fine. I only have 1% deadzone adjustment set in iCue. Does adjusting your deadzone help at all?

No I’ve tried that already. It’s definitely a physical problem with the thumb stick modulas. I hit up the support so let’s see what happens. Thanks again for the videos keep he grind up

bruh, is this why my scuf was stuck holding crouch...swapped it with an RMA, bu tnow the 2nd one was acting weird....after it installed driver updates on install -_-(Corsair...really bruh?)

I know man! Sucks to hear others having these types of issues and some people not. Makes me think it could be a batch issue with certain scuf controllers cause I never had any issue like that with mine yet.

can you map the gamepad buttons to macro?i play r6 and it dont allow input with mnk or controller simultaneously😅

Sadly no; you can only remap the additional G-Keys, Paddles and Shoulder Buttons. All your standard face buttons and triggers are non programable. Any programmable buttons can be assigned a macro though.

I use the Deity Vo-7u, it’s a pretty damn good mic for the price tbh. I been meaning to do a review on it but haven’t had the chance. Been using it for about 4 months now. Super happy with it. Also got it on an end of the year sale in December for $80 it’s usually around $160. 100% recommended!

@@pizzaxavi I just risked it for the biscuit and everything turned out fine no errors no bugs I guess it was just a tool from iCUE. I was on version 0.8.37 when I first got my controller last Saturday was worried of updating the the latest firmware from all the negative posts I seen but felt more confident after watching your video haha but honestly my controller feels way more responsive
