What for electricity is constantly required? Do the baffles contain holes to allow treated water to flow out of the reactor to the outlet channel?

Sir, Why UASB biomass becomes weak? Boimass is floating with flow having thin and separated and settling is zero. As we kept cylinder of 1 lit sample for settling it gets upword, not settled. But methane gas is generating continuously. We are treating Sizing effluent in textile plant. Kindly suggest solution. Thank you.
