So helpful. Thanks for all the details. I wouldn't normally have the confidence to go change something like this because there's so many different units out there but I'm going to give this a go myself now and save a few bob!

Thank you so much. Based purely on this video I ordered the unit from TravelinLite, and it took ... let's say 3 minutes to remove the old unit, install the new one, and get it working. Absolute hero.

I've been eyeing up the TravelinLite RCD 360+ upgrade for my T5.1 but I've been reluctant because I anticipated a nightmare fitting it, problems with incompatible cables etc, but if it's as easy as you say it is, I might just take the plunge. The video is excellent for a clueless idiot like myself!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to show absolutely everything. I’m pretty handy and up for trying most things but I was a little skeptical if I could/should tackle this on my 2011 Caravelle. Your video has given me the encouragement to know that yep, I can get Apple Car Play in the Velle for the want of an hour and a T25 screwdriver. Happy days!

Evening John, I’m doing this same change in my mk5 polo, I have the head unit but for the life of me I cannot find the harness that changes the power from the rcd310 to the rcd360 would possibly know where I could source one?

Yes it does Rich. Its just a higher resolution version of the graphic used on the original head unit.

Hi mark the whole experience has been excellent. the only issue i have had has been an occasional loss of connection with the phone. As this has been fixed by unplugging and replugging the USB into the head unit, its most likely the quality of the cable. Or possibly a dirty connection in the head unit socket. everything else has been great. highly recommended.

Yes it does Ben. Very similar graphic to the original head unit pops up when you put it in reverse
