How many pins are on the psu fan connector port and did you find it better to have air flow into or out of the psu case?
@urz74812 жыл бұрын
my fan have 4 pin. we always need 2 pin only. first pin mark with number 1 is ground. second pin is positive/line 3rd and 4th is sensor and PWM so we use 1st and 2nd pin only. my fan is 12v. but you can adjust to lower voltage for more quiter sound but it will still better than stock fan cooling. in video you can clearly see my airflow is push into board directly. note the fan always have X side for mounting fan rotor is eXhaust side ;) beware of something dirty near fan below. ofcourse reverse airflow not bad either. both still provide good cooling. feel free for ask more technical question if not understand

I like this & will use it but it would have been helpful to show the buck converter connected, I have no clue where to connect it, also do you have the link for the main board cover? Thanks

PSU -> buck converter 12v -> psu fan. for board file i will check it. if available i will post at description

Oh: why didn't I think of printing instead of cutting Creality Ender 5 Plus Temperature Test PSU Noise fix The Meanwell PSU make quite a bit of fan noise when turned on... Meanwell RSP-500-24
@urz74812 жыл бұрын
sometime we can do mistake. just for info Meanwell PSU fan connector pin is 12volt. so we can directly plug any 12volt fan. but its only switch ON when have Load or reach some temperature. CMIIW

How did you mount the psu back into the printer without the metal shell that holds it in place? Did you zip tie it or how?
@urz74812 жыл бұрын
i am not modified it. the cover for psu use 4 screw. so screw it back. for PSU it use 2 screw on the body. so screw it back too if you mean for large black metal plate. it's not for hold to printer. it's just for cover psu terminal from accidentally touch it.

Which direction does the air flow for the motherboard fan? Do you change the direction from the original? tks
@urz74812 жыл бұрын
original direction was push out. i am use push in direction. but it's collect dust faster. you can choose which one you like.

Is there room to fit those fans on there wouldn’t they be hitting the floor? Did you put risers or something for clearance?
