As a crocheter, I have a LOT of yarn, and that yarn needs to be stored neatly! Yarn winders become essential for those of us who have an entire stash of yarn!
Who knew AUTOMATIC yarn winders were a thing? Not me until now! Lol, I had a lot of fun testing out this yarn winder that was gifted to me from Etcokei. I found that the best way to use this yarn winder [at least for super bulky yarn] is to use the middle pull and guide it until it starts to do all the work on its own! I was amazed when it started to just wind without my help! The only con is that the yarn cakes turn out fairly larger than normal due to the lack of tension that's usually there from hand winding. But it made winding my yarn SO quick!

At 5:15 ish it looks like one of those illusions where some people see it turning left, some people see it turn right and some can see it go both ways. Optical illusion thingy. That's so bad ass that is that fast!

💜 My hand crank one just arrived after almost a week (yes it was supposed to be prime to days) it went on an adventure. 🙄🤣 Now I see this awesome review and want to upgrade... I'll wait until I get my stash up, I think and then go for this one. Thank you so much for sharing about how well this electric yarn winder works, because I was pretty skeptical it would tangle a bunch, but it looks like the cheaper hand crank ones are the problem. 😄 Thanks again, Jay!

A great demonstration. Loosely wound balls won’t cause yarn to thin like tightly wound balls can. So it’s a plus that it winds a little looser.

If your taking yarn that is already in its original package N you wined it into a cake it should be loose. I was told to never wined your yarn till you're ready to use it so it not all stretched out. Who knows how long it will sit in your yarn room b4 you use it!

💜 Wow that's so fast, I was scared to try using a winder (even a manual one) with chenille yarn in case it hurt the yarn, but it looks fine... so thanks for this! Might get an electric one one day, but will stick with the manual one for now!

With most ball winders you have to maintain a light tension for a tight ball, I do this by pinching it as a guide and tension adjustment.

Ya they have some super expensive break the bank wooden ones too . That’s the first ones I saw on Bagoday channel but there is no way I could ever afford that one. I definitely could use this cause I have lots of hanks of yarns and have to wind them on my normal one with swift. As I’m way older than you lol 😂 my arm and shoulder gets really sore badly very quickly. 😫 So go much is it? What is the brand and name of this too? 😊 💜

Well if you have ever experienced yarn it gets tangled easily and it is really hard to deal with and if you dont want to spend hours winding yarn back into a ball then this is very helpful

They exist so that when you finish a project and only have a little yarn left from the ball, it winds it into a mini cake for it to be more manageable

Danger Will Robinson! Warning! Lol: when that thing gets to spinning real fast the Yarns going to start flopping unless you are helping control the tension. Your urine is probably going to wind up spun around the spindle below that plate at the bottom I have a possible solution. Do y'all know that little trick of using a paper plate to stick your mixer beaters through so that you don't splash whipping cream all over the kitchen while you're trying to whip up some regular whipping cream Eagle Brandon vanilla and make your own set it and forget it ice cream in the freezer will I suggest that you cut a hole about the size of that machine's unicorn horn there. Dead out of protect your urine from getting flopped underneath the works while it's still spinnin'. What do you think? You went a lot slower and at inconsistent speeds than everyone else I have seen work their electric winder,? so you had the luck. It also is made differently then the five others I've seen. I think I like this one. I could not tell if you did a center pull on the first one or not. If you didn't that is why you got into trouble.
