You can buy the Milwaukee M18 Power Source on Amazon here - www.amazon.com/...
If you are not getting enough run time out of your Milwaukee M12 heated jacket there is a way to have them run on the M18 battery packs.
With the Milwaukee M18 power source, you can increase your jacket heating time from 6 hours on low up to 18 hours.
If you don't have a Milwaukee heated jacket and are just looking for something to keep your electronics charged, you can use the power source to charge your electronics with a M18 battery.

I bought a dewalt adapter that has the 2/3 amp plug in for thr jacket, but my adapter doesn't have sn off switch, so the battery will drain if i leave plugged in. Do you know of a dewalt adapter that has a power switch? Or could you possibly make a teardown video of the milwaukee adapter so i can see exactly how to add a switch? Thanks for reading, subbed

That's a pretty cool feature but why not just carry around an extra 12 volt battery in the other pocket for when the first one runs out? It would probably be a lot less weight and double the battery life of bringinga single 12 volt. You could bring one big 18 volt such as a 5,8,12.0 etc. in your pack to charge the depleted 12 volt with while using the other. You know instead of having to carry it around in your pocket. Just a thought.

Better option is a massive chinese battery. Ebay sells so many decently large packs. I built one from scratch that I run probably an hour or less a day and it's still going without a charging session after 3 weeks. The jacket draws 1.7A when on, and maybe 25ma when not heating. It pulses on and off. 12ah pack runs it forever.

I would have thought that to get extra heating time, when trying to find a replacement battery, looking at buying a 12v 6 amp hour battery would be the way to go. Affectively extending the in use time by 3 because original is 2 amp hour and the replacement battery I currently looking at is a 6 amp hour. WorkshopAddict can you imagine if you use the new 9.0 battery!! I don't think it would fit in the pouch, but if you were to plug it in to the jacket, and sit the battery next to you while you were in a duck blind or something, in situations like that, from what I read, that battery would not run out of power anytime soon, even running on high! It's about 93%more power than the 5.0, and it runs cooler. Under the situations like I listed above, that would be an EXTREME UPGRADE!

@HifiCentret
@HifiCentret 7 жыл бұрын
As WorkshopAddict says it outputs 12 volt. I'd add thanks to the wonders of modern switchmode (PWM) electronics you can convert amperage to voltage or vice versa with very minimal loss. So a 2Ah M18 battery will almost provide as long runtime as a 3Ah M12 battery - as said there's a loss but it's minimal like 5-10% depending on the quality and cost of the electronics. But rather than just looking at Ah which says nothing wihtout a voltage with PWM you should look at it and be interested in how many Wh it has instead as that's telling the amount of energy. Voltage and current being negligible as one can be converted to the other as needed. PWM electronics a small modern wonder that no one thinks about but it's really the secret to many of our powerful tools and gadgets that not too long ago was thought as almost pure science fiction.

When your out hunting and you get accidentally dirty, how do you wash the jacket with all those wires in jacket?

I have washed my jackets in the washer about 20 times each. It does not matter and they are made to handle the washer.

Can you use a makita battery with this adapter?
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 3 жыл бұрын
No, only a Milwaukee battery fits the Milwaukee adapter. Makita has their own adapter.

Does this work for the axis as well?

I have the new axis jacket and the pocket is smaller. I am able to use my m18 adapter and the smaller 2.0 18 volt. Fits well.

How long does a 1.5 18 last
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 9 жыл бұрын
Nolan Barsi I dropped on in at 2:00 in the video. Pending your situation and how cold it is out, you will see up to 18 hours. If it is very cold, you might see 10 hours. It will vary every time pending the heat the jacket needs to make.
