LED headlights have been smeared through the mud over the years. Whether in your four wheel drive or daily driven car, they overheat, they require you disconnect your daytime running lights, they blind traffic, and they really don't work all that great. One of my old LEDs burned out (again) and the company no longer exists. So it was time to find another LED but I wanted one that had a lane cutoff feature like modern LED headlight housings have.
In my limited research of LED upgrades, I wasn't finding options outside of a completely new retrofit housing where I would have to bake my headlights, and essentially manufacture my own housing. And these options are over 500 dollars! I started looking for cheap LED replacement bulbs and stopped over at Auxbeams website, and low and behold they had exactly what I was looking for. These bulbs aren't listed on Amazon at this time, but included is a link to their website directly. Check out the video to find out exactly what the advantage of these bulbs is.

@@IndependenceOverland TRD Pro. I put a deposit down, expecting to wait a year or two, and someone ahead of me cancelled their order. They wanted grey instead of the white they had originally ordered. I wanted white...should be here next month as a '23 model!

I love my beam techs leds I got them in my 2008 TT FJ. They have no fan attached to the back just metal cooling fins. I run them day and night. I bought my 1st set in April 2018 which lasted 3 years and some change and my 2nd set in September 2021. My 2nd set are still running with no problems till this day. I use to have auxbeam in 2017 with the fans for about 7months and and did some water crawling/splashing and they started flickering and died within the same week. Needless to say I’m not a fan of leds with fans. I’ve never had a code, temp or any issue with my beam techs yet and waded through water with them and they’re still solid. They’re great during the day to especially on street/highway reflective signs trips me out. I love leds especially on a dark road or fresh new highways and it lights up the lanes super clear. Once in a while I get high beamed but then again I can’t tell if it was for me or just the tech in the newer vehicles headlights adjusting to oncoming traffic.

So you can just install them in the original stock housing? I have a 07

Yes sir. You may need to do some trimming around the rubber boot that seals around the rear of the bulb. Ive had mine trimmed for 5+ years now and never had any dirt/water get inside. And if you ever convert back to halogen, new headlight boots cost under 20 bucks.

Hi Tyler! So, I purchased and installed the GX H4 Auxbeam into my 2012 TTSE today but my right side beam is about 5-6 inches higher than the left beam which is at standard height. You mentioned several times in this video about adjusting your beam. Can you please explain how you made these adjustments? Thank you!

Do you know about the long screwdriver adjustments? Pop the hood, and you’ll see a hose on top of each headlight housing with a Phillips head screw in the bottom. Insert your long screwdriver into that and start making those adjustments. It’s very easy to do. Let me know if this helps or not.

I have a 2007 fj, looking for an led upgrade. I installed another brand and it caused my dash board lights to go out. Any idea if this brand will keep that from happening. My wife has a pretty gnarly mountain drive for work. Looking to get her all the illumination while driving I can

Whoa that’s crazy, I’m confused why that would happen. These didn’t cause that issue for me at all. I will be doing a much more significant lighting upgrade soon. Also much more expensive, but it will be impressive. Stay tuned.

Covers for the vehicle headlights or the auxbeams? Auxbeam sells some for their lights

@IndependenceOverland For the regular headlights. I have a 2008 and they're a little scratched and foggy. I have heard both good and bad things about after market replacements, so I was hoping you had a brand you could recommend. Edit: maybe "cover" isn't the right word. "Housing" is probably what I'm looking for

I hooked it back up, but they just don’t turn on with the lower output. So no unfortunately.
