Are you one of the 2 million who are going to "See them Aliens". As of late, the internet has been invaded by Area 51 memes inspired by a joke Facebook event to take over the Military site and find the supposed aliens inside. We could not help to join in on the fun to bring you a custom that we would pull up to Area 51 in.
Some of you may remember the Classic Video game "Area 51". In this latest tutorial we welcome in artist Jake Mata from @visionarykickz to customize some Adidas Pro Model. He'll show you how to give your sneaker custom an upgrade by using Angelus paints and some easy DIY stencils. This extraterrestrial custom will surely take you out of this world. Awesome work! A faster route in the future is get yourself a big graphite crayon, and just scribble all over the back of your print out, I then use a cotton ball to blur it making sure there's even coverage, and cut it out leaving yourself a buffer around the edge and tape it on, and then draw over it. You're essentially just making your own transfer sheet without doubling up on the paper.

I was going to suggest the same thing lol. Another route you don't even need to graphite or color the back if you're worried about access smudging or smearing you can even press hard enough when you trace the lines and it will leave a temporary indent in the material to trace and get the proportions and detail that way.

If you're going to be cutting stencils try and build/buy a small turntable and cut a mat to fit it. Then you can turn it as you work to make a lot of your tight cuts easier.

When using the same brush to change to a different color what’s the best way to clean the brush from the previous color just water? Thanks

Is deglazer and acetone the same thing?

Hello Craig, no it is not the same thing. Acetone is a lot stronger so be careful when using it. We make deglazer a bit different so it has a longer dry time and doesn't eat into material as quickly.

The paint is water based, however we see your concern. We do this in a well ventilated area and the artist has the option to use one.

There are going to be some upset ass beginners who fuck up their sneakers by trying to cut the tape on their shoes. I guess everyone has to learn somehow.
