That was pretty simple to take out the optical drive. Was thinking of replacing mine. I had already replaced my Hard drive with a ssd and maxed my memory to 8gigs prior to watching this. Good video.

hi, i have this ntb more than 2 months, i look at the free slot what is look like a free msata without conector. My theory is conector was placed somewhere on mother board and you may just buy label and place it in a free slot. im planning clean up my ntb from dust so ill write what i discover. i was planning at the end of the mounth mount here three hard drives(one ssd and two hdd) one in primry slot for hard drive, next one in msata( if exist) and last one instead of DVD Rom

Hello I have one of these too. I found a part on the front edge of the laptop you can push it in and piece of plastic comes off and their is some kind of expansion slot there at least I think that's what it is. I was kinda hoping it is something like that you never know when you could need something like that. It also looks like it could be a SD card slot again I'm not sure maybe you can tell me so I know for sure. I need to know because I want to upgrade to USB 3.0 and as far as I know a expansion slot is the best way to go about it. I checked a couple of manuals one said it only has USB 2.0 but another says it does have USB 3.0 again I just need to know for sure an upgrade may not be necessary.

Hello. I replaced the stock HD in my trusty Acer Aspire 5750 laptop with a 500Gb SSD, and all seemed to go well, except that now it MUST be plugged in, or else it will start to freeze up and eventually BSOD, and then I get a "No Bootable Device - please restart" message when it tries to reboot automatically. Once i reboot, all is fine, as long as I keep it plugged in. Does the SSD draw more power than the battery can provide, or is it a weird driver issue? Thanks to anyone who can help!!
