Yes I did. Nx cassettes will fit. But of it’s anything like gx or above it won’t fit

depends on how much money you have. a new front fork will greatly impact the riding feel especially keeping the bike controlled and stable through rough terrain and not bouncing all over the place. ive had a full suspension bike in the past and there's many instances where my rockhopper Is much much faster and a lot more fun so it depends on you really

I put a Judy on a 2014 RH and it completely changed the bike. Found a great deal on one new and it was an easy swap. I ride it more than my fsr epic on easier local trails now.

keep in mind the rockhopper has a straight steerer tube and the rear frame/wheel is 135mm. This limits your upgrade options. You can get headset adapters to run tapered forks, but then you'll need to upgrade front wheel as well. The rear dropouts being 135mm is real limiter. If you want to upgrade, a different frame with tapered head tube and 148mm dropouts would be much more ideal like the Specialized Fuse etc. The dropouts being 135mm in rear really limits your groupset and rear wheel options. Since the rear hub is hyperglide it can only run the sram sx or nx cassettes. The gx and up cassettes are not an option. Then you have to buy a wheel for 142mm with an adapter kit for 135mm.

Hey mate! Sure thing! I had a sram nx crankset with a 32 tooth chainring. Sram Dub threaded bottom bracket although I can't remember the exact dimensions sorry. I'm sure if you head to a bike shop they will help you get the exact bottom bracket. I then had a sram Nx 12 speed cassette. 11-50 tooth. A 2020 sram gx 12 speed derailleur and a new sram gx 12 speed chain. Thats the one by conversion. In terms of the other parts I changed I just chucked on a fast rolling maxxis tyre and new set of grips and mudguard. Best of luck mate, let me know if you want anymore info! You are able to swap a 12speed NX Cassette to a bike. If it’s not Sram Nx it won’t work. I’m not sure how recent the bike needs to be, but in this case this bike is a 2014 with a previous 9speed. If you still want the higher quality shifting you could install a Nx 12 speed cassette with a higher end derailleur or chain in the sram range. Hope that helps? 👍

I have a 2021 rockhopper and planning to convert to 1x. Currently it has a 2x9 and 135x9 hub. My dilema was if I could just use the same hub/freehub to upgrade or needs to change. Thanks for the info.

it depends what driver body you have on the bike, if its HG driver than the only 12 speed cassette you can get on there is an NX one because all other 12 speed sram cassette use the XD driver body, and in Shimanos case you can't get any 12 speed cassettes for HG but you can get their Deore 1x11 or 1x10 that should fit.

@@MountainBikeCulture got all the stuff on the bike. Can't get the gears to work. Got a marin bob cat as well. Same scenario. Can't get smooth gears even with all new parts. Peed off .
