She is a nurse. She seems to have had many difficult experiences at work. Her very gentle and strong singing voice probably comes from her experiences. She is not well known in Japan yet, but she is a dynamic singer, so she may become popular overseas.🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for your comment. What's amazing about her, of course, is her singing ability, but she also writes and composes the songs herself. The content of her lyrics represents life itself, and she is able to express the content of those lyrics through her songs. It's a wonderful song. (Translation software was used.)

My man, when this video first came out sans the English translation, a friend from Osaka showed it to me. Despite her extreme talent and gorgeous voice, the lyrics broke my fuckin heart. Upiko-chan is AMAZING, from now on consider me a fan. I encourage you to check out her other works. A fair amount has English translations.

Anyone know what the deal is with the wierd frets? some of them seem to have extra half frets between the normal ones- never seen that before.

Those are just free markers. Inlays. They are usually a fire or block, centered on the neck, but these are more decorative

Wow, an amazing voice indeed! 👍 For a Japanese female singer she sings in a low register. Nice vibrato too; a tad fast for my personal preference, but sounds natural and unforced. A a side note, the _chorus_ of the song reminds me of Joe Hisaishi's theme song Kimi wo Nosete / 君をのせて of Studio Ghibli's film "Caste in the Sky" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ncqgeNGcyLqbeaM.html (this is absolutely not the same song, but it just sounds familiar).

BTW, Upiko has been described as "Miyuki Nakajima of Reiwa [the current and 232nd name of the Japanese era]". She certainly reminds me of her, both her voice and her songs. *Nakajima is one of the best-known singer-songwriters in Japan, and she is the only solo artist to reach #1 on the Oricon Singles Chart in each of the four decades, from the 1970s to the 2000s (as for a music provider, each of the decades to the 2010s).
