Jeffrey's dog Bandit is sitting in the car refusing to make eye contact while making huffing noises because it thinks it is getting replaced with the baby cow in the back of the car. Jeffrey tries to explain to Bandit that the calf is coming home with them.

I’m so sorry you lost patch. I know how much it hurts. I lost my Jenny 3 weeks ago and my father the week after. I keep looking around the house for both of them. Dad, especially at coffee time, which was most of the day. Jenny when I have fries or eat a cookie. She always got half of anything I ate.

The difference between "owner" and "care-taker" is that the latter involves some emotional attachment. You can clearly see that the owner loves his dog and cares for him mostly because of that love and nothing else. You own something that you exploit, something you gain out of. When the thing you predominantly gain is love, you're no longer just an owner.

So people who don't understand what is actually happening in this video: the baby cow was violently taken from their mother at birth, and the mother abused and tortured and the baby will be killed soon as well. The dog knows this, as they went to the fHarm together. So he's not upset thinking he will be replaced, he's upset at the horror and untrustworthiness of his "owner."

My sister stayed at my Mom's with her dog(Bella) for a holiday after my Mom got a new dog(Mae) and you could clearly tell that Bella felt like she was being replaced. And when my Mom and sister went to our other family's house for the holiday they only wanted to bring one dog because there would already be so many dogs at the house and they didn't want to leave the new puppy unsupervised. And while they were gone, I was in my room playing videogames with my headphones in, and despite that I could still hear Bella just lay on the back of the couch(which was facing the front door) howling because she felt like she had been replaced. This was something Bella had not done before or since. I had to go and pet and hold her for a bit to help calm her down. It was both funny and heartbreaking at the same time. Dogs really are just like little toddlers.

My dad's australian shepherd was very unhappy with the new baby he was paying attention to. We worried a lot about that. Then one day a few years later, they were both mysteriously "missing". Found them holed up on the kitchen floor sharing a box of donuts. They were good friends after that.

That dog is amazing. I had never seen a dog cry, or feel rejected and sad. So much emotion on display. It is heartbreaking. And his Dad does love him.

Awe poor Bandit he's heart broken. Hopefully he makes friends w the cow. I'm sure dad will give him extra loving and treats!! So sweet how his Dad saw what he was feeling. Can tell how up set dad was upset that he's best friend was hurting.

I think this dog isn't worried about being swapped with the calf, because why would he think that? He's scared because such an animal is sitting very close to him. He has limited movement, so if something happens, he won't be able to react and he's not familiar with such a creature. The scent, size, different shape, etc., all contribute to his fear.

That's a heeler -- Australian cattle dog. They are NOT afraid of 2000 pound bulls let alone calves. 😂🤣 Dog is definitely pouting....

I have a cat like this. I used to think she was just mean to other cats but after more observation I realized that she's a jealous cat. If it's just her and other cats she's fine, but if I step in and give attention to any cat but her, she gets hissy and starts raising her paws.
