There could be some truth in this. David Gates was out testing with Kye who had loaned his car Shocker to him. David Gates got into a wreck that destroyed the car. When Kye made a replacement, he was seriously struggling and didn't know what to do. He went back to the carcass of Shocker he reminded himself about how he had the shift points, driveshaft rotation etc. After mentioning the plot he had with Shocker he immediately stopped his explanation as he looked like someone had just gave his secrets away. The car was TONS faster and solved his struggles. The point being that the data he talked about was key to HIM going FAST. Why would that not be true of others too? Sorry that was SOOO long.

Ryan wasn't the only one Sir! Justin and Paige did it also. They have done this to make up for the odd numbers and shortage of racers! If they hadn't did this there would had only been 15 racers instead of 18. They also did this in Virginia and other racers got back in after losing in the Invitational
