This video is so helpful!! I have a Contemperary dance class this year with a new teacher whom is very strict about outfits, and hairstyles and said that we had to wear tight buns, but I didn’t want to just wear a boring bun, and everyone seemed to really like this look!! I also did it on a few other girls in my class! Thank you for the inspiration!!

for me whenever i finish making a bun instead of bobby pins i use a hair tie just because bobby pins dont stay on my head they just fall out

It helps if you put the ridged side of the bobby pin in your hair so that it faces your head; if that makes any sense

its also commonly called a sock bun. you can make one by taking a (clean) tube sock and cut of the toe part and then roll it up inside of its self. It's super easy and cheap! Hope that helps!

Try starting the braid with smaller sections as close to the nape as possible; and if your sockbun is still showing, then try using a small sized one.

I usually just hit the "like" button on all your videos but there is something really important that I want to point out about honey. Although I agree that both the coconut oil and honey can be good for the hair, honey can actually act as a BLEACH on hair. It contains hydrogen peroxide and is used as a natural hair lightener by many (including myself). It is important to know that if you use this over an extended period of time, it will lighten your hair.

Try continuing the plait through the pony but when you're finished pull the braid apart a bit, this will make it messier but also hopefully a bit shorter and easier to work with.

If it helps you can also use a cut up sock "sock bun" if it helps it's really simple :) but the thing she uses you can find in most pharmacies or shops in the hair section :)

i have never used anything for my buns but i just out my hair in a ponytail and then twist it wrap it around and put a hair tie around it an use bobby pins for baby hairs if needed!!

Their also called donuts. You can cut off the end of an old sock (a long on and one that matches your hair color is preferred) and roll it up into a donut shape.
