This is a normal flour for cooking, you can buy the cheapest one, it’s not water resistant you can see it on my last 2 Mosaic table how I took off the paper with water 💦 I have some related videos under the description. I think it’s a way of getting all the tiles with different thickness smooth and therefore same level for the table top. Other wise if you past them directly on the table each individual tile would need to be leveled otherwise it would make the table bumpy. This ensures a nice smooth table top.
