I completely agree, but my brain is jumping to the logistics of getting the field all set up and ready for the performance. I think the half-time advertisement (I can't call it a show, what with the corporate naming rights john's attached to it) is 12 or so minutes, plus set up and breakdown. This song runs about 4:40 so we could get 2 or 3 more in the performance. But who knows if they did it, I might actually tune in a minute or two ahead of time to actually watch it.

I keep thinking that too every time I see one of their videos. I reference just that in my reply to another comment about doing this in the Super Bowl. I don't know if we'd use 1,000 total performers, but a big group would be way better than the "music" that's been played in recent years.

This! Why can't more people gather musicians and musical students and protégé and put them together so they can practice stuff like this. Let them play at halftime at ballgames. The better they get, the bigger the opportunities. If the local musicians don't have their own equipment, the colleges can provide it during practice and performances. This might help get young people off the streets and out of trouble and into something they can be proud of. Some may even have a future in music.

I played trumpone until I had to carry it to school walking in fifth grade. I took choir in junior high. High soprano to mid alto. Also tone deaf. I don't know how I survived it.

It's been almost 4 decades since I've played trombone. This video made me want to find a horn again. Thank you for giving me the feeling of being a musician again. Even though I'm disabled and that was so many moons, I can't count. Thank you for all of this. For everyone. I can only be at home or the Doctor's office. You make. Me feel like I'm part of the crowd. And that's why I am very grateful. Keep on rocking.
