Uptown Saint John has such a great feel. It's historical, chic, walkable and just lovely to look at. F'ton has a great downtown too. Very pedestrian friendly and beautiful spaces. I am biting at the bit to move there. Love your videos! It always takes someone from "away" to showcase how great your city has been the entire time.

I shared this on Facebook, I made videos around here last month, I think being an important port and a coastal city, St. John will always be under some kind of development and upgrades, it is a nice area, but there will be preferences by general population for sure.

But this is my hometown and it's the best city in the maritimes and it's where Canada started other Canadians may say Montreal or Quebec started Canada but nope it is Saint John where it all started for Canada

Great video and channel. We are a couple in Ontario considering the move out East. Are house prices in Saint John going for well over asking like we are seeing in Ontario? We're talking houses going for 150k or more over asking here as the norm. I would hate to see that happening in an area that seems still so affordable. Keep up the great content!

Thank you. Most homes here do sell over list price, but not by any standard amount and not by 150k. We know our market very well and we have had great success valuing homes for our clients.

Yes st John will be developed more even Grand Bay area. The government invested more money and port is busier. CP also decided to work with Irving. Will be more jobs posting.

My wife and I spontaneously flew out Saint John to look at some ocean front properties about 30min south of the city. House prices are insanely cheap compared to Toronto. After spending a couple of days in Uptown we decided to move to the city instead. We ended up purchasing the penthouse of The Royal condominium, the green copper roof building at 8:50 in this video. It was built as SJ's post office after the great fire. Looking forward to moving in before the fall.

Hiya, I love watching your videos! I need an advice. Could you recommend rental agencies, please? We contacted 1 but they quite relaxed and we need a unit to get contracted like now ☺️. We are newcomers from the U.K. so it is very important to sort this out asap. 🤗 thank you

There are no real rental agencies here, just property managers that represent their own clients. Try Kijiji Saint John or just google home (apartment) rentals Saint John and you will find lots of listings.

Good afternoon, Thank you for making this all video. My name is Olya, me and my husband are coming to Saint John in the end of the June for the very first time, and we are looking for the long term rental. May be you can help us about it? Thank you

Unfortunately, we don't deal with rentals. Try Kijiji Saint John or Google Saint John home rentals.

Don’t you miss the trees and the green of BC ? I mean is there treed streets/areas in St John ? How about parks? It seems very concrete and bricks. I d love to know more about the nature side of the city , thank you
@WeLoveSaintJohn2 жыл бұрын
I hope you will watch more of our videos. There are far more parks and greenspaces in Saint John than there are in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area serving a population base that is far smaller meaning personal space is far more abundant here. There are more parks here than I can mention, but our large urban park, Rockwood, is double the size of Stanley Park. And tree lined streets, wow, we have an endless supply of maple tree shaded streets To answer your question, we miss absolutely nothing about BC.

Was the Barbour general store torn down?
@WeLoveSaintJohn2 жыл бұрын
No, it's still there for now. Hopefully they can save it.

It made me sick and upset as to why they're doing this because there's a lot of things they should have kept like that old shop across from City Hall they took that down and they took down the statues it was next to it and that was a landmark that should not have been torn down

How about you show the multiple homeless people sleeping outside on the benches and beaver pond Up on king street? How about the piles of garbage covered on duke street, sydney street, mecklenburg, st james, etc. How about the kids who play in the street while stepping over people ODing on the ground? How about the violence? The multiple needles piled on the ground? How about you film through the north end? How about the south end? How about the mall East you don't even have access to buy underwear in because there are no stores left due to poverty?
@chrismccarron1210 Жыл бұрын
How about you be more positive. Yes there are areas of poverty we'll duh. Charlottetown and Moncton both have tent cities full of homeless people. Every city has challenges it doesn't mean you give up and give in. Get a life.
