Hi Claire, she looks so beautiful, I love her red riding hood outfit you made her…you were right when you said you had this outfit in mind for her, it’s darling…. The wolf you made is so precious, and the little hat…. You are a terrific seamstress Claire. The dress, apron and cape look lovely on your new doll. I especially like the tiny basket you crocheted. I absolutely want to collect those books just to gaze at all the dolls and their outfits. Endless inspiration there. UR4 Me is very elegant and her clothes are beautiful, but I really love the coloring of Pleasant Surprise and I hope she will be next Blythe in my collection. She is a beautiful doll! I got my first fakey doll as a gift from my sister in 2019. Since then, I’ve bought a lot of the fake ones. Then my two sisters went in together to get me Heather sky a few years ago. I like the term you use… “Re-style.” I like that term… Restyling versus the customizing.

I so enjoyed watching this video, seeing into the BIG Blythe books, it makes me really want to own them, too. UR4 Me's box is so cute!! As well as her being an adorable Blythe, especially in her new outfit with the red cape. Your Ailurophile Style is also darling in her outfit, along with the wolf you made, I can't wait to see what other animals you will make for them 🙂

I love the outfit you made. You could put some pretty ribbon over the raw edge of the hood. Many thing are done that way so I think it would be very pretty. You can get white ribbon with red edges and flowers embroidered on the white ribbon.😊

Thank you for the tip Kim, I glued it down, it would be a bit stiff the sew a ribbon on now but I could glue a ribbon on, the edge is not bothering me now, but if I was making this sell I wouldn’t be happy to sell it like this, however it’s just for personal use.

Oh Claire ❤ you've sewn this pretty little red riding hood outfit so perfectly! I love the clothes you make and the accessories too, and giving the girls thier own pet! 🐺 🐸 🦌 It reminds me of the characters in the His Dark Materials books/films! Every doll could have her own daemon !! I enjoyed watching this episode whilst crocheting a doll's jumper myself 😄 I think I've caught your doll bug!! 🤣

Ha ha Rowan, yay ! What sort of doll are you crocheting for? The doll bug is a wonderful thing to catch. lol And thank you so much, I loved seeing my idea all coming together in the end. I’ve watched his Dark Materials, I loved it. My husband said I have my own daemons, Holly and Rafe. lol x

@@ClaireWhoMakesThings My daemon is my cat then! 😆🐈‍⬛ My little granddaughter is carrying her baby doll everywhere lately. It was my daughter's originally and still wearing the coat I knitted over 30 years ago!! But it lead me on a quest 🤭 I've got 5 dolls ordered on Ebay 😲 vintage of course (70s/80s) my favourites are Pedigree First Love dolls, such nice faces 🥰

lol Rhonda, thank you so much. I have been known to make the occasional extra outfit do put them in a shop, but some things are so intricate and time consuming, or due to supply issues, then I only make one. I hope to put more things in my shop when I doing less running for my family. It might worth keeping an eye on my shop for the future.
