Today's video was tricky to film, and paint for many reasons.
I go over each issue (more than once!) in video.
Despite my complaining, I really hope you enjoy the video. I hope it gives some inspiration to get outside and paint, despite obstacles. It can only make us better sketchers!

Beautiful and my goodness! I know it was worrisome for you to be in a rainstorm, but thank you for leaving the sound in! I love it! Here in hot, dry sunny Texas, we don’t get much fall weather. My hubby and I call it perfect sleeping weather!

Thanks for sharing your work! I discovered your channel and thus the world of urban sketching. I usually take photos of my travels and then paint them when im home, but I never thought how much you could actually do on location!

The rain sounds are very soothing. The sketch is beautiful with great blending of colours and depth to it. I love how you added touches to highlight white with the Posca pen. To me, it's more like an actual painting than a sketch. For someone who hasn't done any sketching for 3 months, it's truly stunning artwork.

love your style of painting so much. (i thought you could have stopped just before you got out the white posca pen and it would have been gorgeous; i may have made a similar comment about your work before :) so glad to see you back again. absolutely love watching you apply watercolor paint!! btw, those rain sounds were so intense, i almost had the feeling i was getting wet!

I've just recently started to learn to sketch, however I wouldn't call what you do sketching. It is painting. Really well done by the way but a little confusing for people who are looking for Urban Sketching.

Sorry for confusion! There are lots of different styles of urban sketching. My painting/plein air paintings are a lot different to this, and I prefer to use my paint to sketch
