Here I am... reading her book “becoming Elisabeth Elliott” and became deeply curious of such a person who lived a life dying to self and living for Christ. I have no excuse or reason not to surrender my all to my Creator and Maker God.

Yes, yes...today is the 1st day of my vacation...each day will have themes and people that inspire, (Besides Jesus Christ), along with, shall we say...today, day 1, Eliz...day 2...Correy Tenboom...I want to go to all sorts of erras and sexes and just learn and grow, and be the Woman God has called me out to be!

Yes, I remember you Elizabeth as a young man finding his way through his journey of faith in God. You inspired me deeply in my walk with God through your books. Do rest in peace with God and thanks for allowing yourself to be used by God so mightily. God bless

This is good. I've been familiar with Jim and Elizabeth's story most of my life, but had never actually heard Elisabeth speak. My mom was a little girl when Jim was killed, and hearing about that was what led her to Christ. I have used Jim's story in my children's ministry. I am currently reading his biography with my 5th graders at the Christian School where I teach.

This woman was a rock, such Spiritual Courage. God had done a real Work in Her Soul. I find Her faith to be Challenging and Frightening knowing How difficult The will God Can be. God is Good in all circumstances. But It didn't mean it isn't difficult.

The Lord will fulfill the desires of your heart. 1) get out of debt 2) save a little money. 3) get your passport 4) pick a remote place 5) take an exploratory vacation. God can do all things. He can turn you wherever he wants you to go. But you can’t turn a parked car. It has to be moving.

It is He who has made me understand that my life is not about being comfortable, & as I acknowledge Him, He *will* direct me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake & allow me to do whatever His will is. Until then I will be His hands, feet, eyes, ears & mouth & approach the homeless & street people helping them in whatever way He allows me to & also telling them that Jesus loves them & wants them. Please pray for me as I pursue Christ in this endeavour. I am not Missionary or Evangelist. I am a light. Grace & Peace to you. ✝️☮️🇨🇦

I wonder why missionaries go through the trouble of travelling to remote places to convert people when there are so many people in America that need conversion. Yes, the Waorani had an uncivilized culture tha needed to be changed but, in the slums of America there as much or more sinful, violent , unGodly "tribes" for lack of a better word. Why haven't missionaries gone through the trouble to set up similar missions here? Why are they passing over our people?

What person do you know who would be willing to lay down their life and pledge not to use a firearm to defend himself? One such man is Jim Eliot. There are many a colonist that killed and plundered, but please do not accuse this hero falsely. He sacrificed His life so that others would know of the love of Jesus Christ. Claims that have no basis in history, witness testimony, changed lives, the persistent selfless life of Elizabeth, &etc. They only way max max could have been made aware of these claims is from “Satan’s lips to his ears” Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He likes to sew doubt amongst believers and unbelievers. He snatches the seed before it can take root.
