In this video, we camp overnight at an abandoned thermal power station in the mountains. When we wake, a thunderstorm is taking place and we infiltrate the 1960s dating structure to see the untouched, decaying interior.

Best control room ever with the glass wall looking out to the turbine hall. Most control rooms are hidden away on the upper floor behind the switch rooms. Awesome find, great explore

I totally agree, the design is beautiful for a relatively modern plant

A massive congratulations and thanks Lads on achieving a very well deserved 100K subscribers and also for the constant quality of the videos that you produce. The effort that goes into researching, planning, logistics as well as the videography and editing is in my opinion second to none, and you provide us with content that surpasses much of what is on main stream TV. As for this specific video, I was just blown away both with the content but also the location and the views that you gave us. The turbine hall was amazing and that control room just had to be the best. Thanks again.

Wow guys, this plant seemed to be closed way before it's time. It's hard to believe that it was built so long ago. Very modern design and incredibly clean structure compared to other plants. Man that view : ) Keep up the great work! Congrats on your 100,000 : )

That has to be the best locations for any power station. The architecture and design is fabulous- typical Italian design which I particularly love. What an amazing explore lads, really enjoy the running commentary and obvious like of tech too. I’m joining your Patreon - new subscriber from the UK.

Cracking video. As a side note, the turbines generated around 150MW of power each. The refinery nearby is also abandoned and should have a small power plant of its own.

Congratulations on 100k subs 🎉😊 Really enjoyed this film, really atmospheric during & after thunder storm. At least you didn't get woken up by the rain, I like those hammocks, they look comfy. Amazing mountains & superb views, at first I thought Italian/Swiss border, now I guess France. What a great adventure, take care & thanks for all your work editing videos, it shows. 🙂🌠

Another really clean site and I'm beginning to feel ashamed that I'm surprised by the lack of graffiti and wanton vandalism that we're used to in the UK and other top five G7 'economically successful and civilised' countries..! I'm clinging to there usually being a heavy security presence, present company's experience excepted of course. That and the punishment for trespass and trashing the place being stupendously serious. 19:38 Those big sheets of glass of the control room wouldn't last a minute here. As another said, you should have climbed the chimney. Bit of a throwaway comment and hope they were joking. But looking at the site now, the chimney's been demolished so no chance no more.

Is this in France or Switzerland? I'm thinking Switzerland, because France typically doesnt have issues with power in winter with all the nuclear power plants (they have had problems during summer in recent years due to low river water levels).
