I'm back in Turkey with Frank to visit an abandoned ghost town with Disney or fairy tale looking castles and a giant cruise ship. After exploring the famous ghost town in Turkey we stop nearby at the historical village Mudurnu to document some abandoned traditional Ottoman houses.

New generations don't care about old property because they are quite expansive to maintain and aren't comfortable. For example my grandparents also had historical stone houses where they grew up in their village but they just built modern concrete ones while abandoning the historical ones to collapse. I've always felt bad about it but i don't have thousands of dollars to maintain them so it isn't my fault i guess. Most probably same happened in those houses as well, old generation died and their children just took valuable furniture etc while abandoning the rest...

You should go to Sinop. There is an inactive army base that was in duty until 1992 by USA to listen USSR. As you know back in the days radio signal was the most tech thing. After they reached space and being able to seeing whats going on in the countries from space, that base have been closed.

It's traditional OTTOMAN architecture. Not every oriental architecture is JAPANESE. Old Japanese buildings don't even come across to most oriental architecture. It's too influenced by the west.

@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath Yes, there is an military house in the area, I stay there as a student. A little silly, but true. I would like to meet you when you come It was partially opened to the public 2 years ago. It is still forbidden to enter some places, in most places there are soldiers and cameras. It is free to enter, but the bikes are 2€ and there is a very nice beach, definitely don't go here without swimming.
