Jashn-e-Bahar, well known among poetry lovers for its Annual Mushaira constantly involves itself in activities related to nurturing India’s rich literary traditions and works towards developing friendship and amity among people in India and across borders who share a common literary and linguistic heritage. A galaxy of the best among contemporary Urdu poets from across the world and India gathering at a place to regale the audience with myriad shades of poetic sensitivities, countless colours of modern day sensibilities and the everlasting elegance of Urdu verse.
The event was brought to Calcutta by Jashn-e-Bahar Trust and West Bengal Urdu Academy organised by Voiceworx Events on 15th April 2018 at Nazrul Manch, Calcutta.
Syed Ali Raza (Manzar Bhopali) (Urdu: منظر بھوپالی, Hindi: मंज़र भोपाली)is a contemporary Urdu poet. He was born in Amravati, Maharashtra. During his teenage years, Manzar started taking interest in poetry and attended his first Mushaira at the age of 17. Over the course of 3 decades, he has penned more than a dozen books in Hindi and Urdu. Manzar has recited his poetry in thousands of Mushairas in five continents and two dozen countries.
