Bhagat Singh was a great personality as he sacrificed his life for freedom from British Empire. There was no question of Pakistan as the resolution for division of India into Muslim and nonmuslim populations was passed in 1940 whereas Bhagat Singh was hanged in 1929. So we can say that Bhagat Singh was a freedom fighter for the whole of India as such we have respect for him and acknowledge his sacrifices. This is my request that his residence should be declared as a museum and it should be properly maintained as a historic asset. It should be opened for all visitors oof Pakistan and foreign countries. An education or health system be launched in the name of Bhagat Singh in this area for a tribute to him and for his efforts. This will help the nation to understand the value of freedom and will create an enthusiasm to safeguard the freedom of Pakistan. I salute Bhagat Singh and his family.

Bhagat Singh was indeed a great freedom fighter but I don't know why Pak text books has not mentioned him anywhere. Its unfair that we have forgetton such great. He fought bravely against British raj.

Bhagat Singh attended Dayanand Anglo Vedic High School, which was operated by Arya Samaj (a reform sect of modern Hinduism), and then National College, both located in Lahore. He began to protest British rule in India while still a youth and soon fought for national independence. He also worked as a writer and editor in Amritsar for Punjabi- and Urdu-language newspapers espousing Marxist theories. He is credited with popularizing the catchphrase “Inquilab zindabad” (“Long live the revolution”). In 1928 Bhagat Singh plotted with others to kill the police chief responsible for the death of Indian writer and politician Lala Lajpat Rai, one of the founders of National College, during a silent march opposing the Simon Commission. Instead, in a case of mistaken identity, junior officer J.P. Saunders was killed, and Bhagat Singh had to flee Lahore to escape the death penalty. In 1929 he and an associate lobbed a bomb at the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi to protest the implementation of the Defence of India Act and then surrendered. Actually, around the year 1926, Sardar Bhagat Singh left his home and then he went to Kanpur for some time. A weekly newspaper of agitating Ganesh Shankar student used to be 'Pratap', Bhagat Singh worked in it for some time. Bhagat Singh used to write his articles continuously in 'Pratap'. The special thing is that during this period, Bhagat Singh's good relations with the revolutionary party were also maintained and he came in contact with Shiv Verma, Batukeshwar Dutt, Jaydev Kapoor and others. Holi and Bhagat Singh... When Bhagat Singh was working for ' Pratap ', in the same period Punjab was a big movement ' Babbar Akali Andolan '. 6 companions of this movement were hanged by the British. If you listen to this, you will shiver. 6 Babbar Akali heroes were hanged on the day of Holi in Lahore Central Jail. Mr. Kishan Singh Gadgajj, Mr. Santasingh ji, Mr. Dilip Singh ji, Mr. Nand Singh ji, Mr Karamsingh ji and Mr. Dharam Singhji were waiting for the court verdict for months. ' Bhagat Singh wrote in the article, ' It was announced that five will be hanged, the rest will be punished with black water, but 6 will be hanged '. Bhagat Singh wrote in his article, ' There was a lot of fun in the city, the people who came and went were being painted. What a terrible neglect, if they were misguided let it happen, insane let it happen. They were fearless patriots, what they did, they did for this unfortunate country. They could not tolerate injustice, could not see the degrading state of the country, the atrocities on the poor became helpless for them, they could not tolerate the exploitation of the common people. Friends and enemies become equal after death, this is the ideal of men. Even if they have committed an abomination, they should be worshipped, considering the courage and readiness they sacrificed their lives in the country. ' In this article of his, Bhagat Singh describes the whole story of Akali Babbar heroes, their fight against the English rule and being caught. At the end of the article, Bhagat Singh wrote, '... After two years of complete repression, the Akali Jatha ended. The case started going on there, the result of which was already written above.
