Someone from Family Dollar told my son that the prices are going up at Dollar Tree because they’re closing a lot of Family Dollar stores. Because they are both owned by the same company, so they’re sending stuff from the FD stores to the Dollar Tree stores! Which I now call Money Tree store!

My husband and I have discussed this for about a year. It impacts everything that is a necessity.

I noticed Big Lots did the same over the years. When they first came out here in Seattle they had awesome deals, now some of their items slowing went up to normal dept. stores. Dollar tree is slowly becoming a Bartell’s or Rite Aid. Crazy! I love your ideas of getting the after holiday clearance stuff! Love your channel!

You are so right i work for dollar tree part time. I have noticed those changes as well as the permanent price tags it has become a problem for gift giving and basket making. ❤❤❤

I noticed the items are smaller. I don't go as much because of this. I go other places to shoo. I compare prices every week when I go to stores. Supermarkets change prices every week. That's why I only buy on sale.

I also noticed that the laundry detergent bottles are smaller. Especially the ones at Walgreens it don't even make no sense to be excited about the buy one, get two free. You might as well just go ahead and buy the $10.99 because at the end of the day, you will be using the same amount of detergent, just less bottles to throw away in your house.

I get stuff from everywhere for my baskets, but I do use a lot of Dollar Tree stuff to fill in. The big red $1.25 they're slapping on everything now is going to be the kiss of death from me buying alot of basket stuff there now. Same with many other basket makers too, I bet. DT, prepare to lose money.

Boss Lady, thank you, because I thought that I was the only one that was truly noticing the change with Dollar Tree. It’s like they are starting to sale sample size products but for more money. Which means that Dollar Tree definitely may not be the go too for basket makers anywhere . And, for these reasons, that you stated and I agree with I have increased my know how on saving money and going where my dollars get better deals. Thanks again for what to be aware of when spending our money and increasing our business nohow….

If basket makers stop shopping at DT for a month, off season, They will rethink their plan. But when we pay what they say regardless of price, we're feeding into their manipulative plan. DG , Walmart, Shein, Temu and other discount stores will often have better prices per unit.

Definitely clearance shopping is better items for cheaper , better then 1.25 tree. I rarely buy from dollar tree anymore. Not surprised about them creeping up the prices. Dollar tree owns family dollar, so there merging FD items into Dollar 1.25 tree . SMH 🙄 before its over they will be the next Walmart

Hi, yes the dollar trees have merged with the family dollars. It was an article written about it. This is why a lot of family dollars are closing. But the dollar trees will still sell $1.25 items .

As I have a friend that is a district manager in they meeting that she had to fly out to last month they are targeting by end of this year quarter to revamp the whole franchise. They are increasing prices as well. But the starting prices is 1.25

Dollar Tree is incorporating goods from Family Dollar. Since they own them and are closing down the majority of the Family Dollar.stores.
