Thanks Janice- doing OK. Lewis isn't 100%, but working on fixing his mouth- also trying to sell/rent my former vet clinic building with not much luck lately - but I am and the rest of my family are pretty healthy :-)

Tracey Lawrance I'm having the same problem, I hope your pup is well, either at peace or healthy! I hope he made a video, I'll have to search his channel specifically (didn't have much luck on KZfaq search in general), though the thing that's helped most is giving her some canned food (and cottage cheese she LOVES, and I cook eggs for her, and I try and scrabble some kibble in with it... I think my senior gal mainly just gets bored by what I offer her really easily so I try and make it as interesting and exciting as possible, and try to give her as many little snacks throughout the day... It's tricky cause my senior thinks awhile before she takes food from me and then just drops it from her mouth sometimes, and I've got three beagles, two of which I am trying to get them to lose some weight, and the other one definately doesn't need to gain any weight... I joke that she's also part cat though, haha, she's a lot less nose crazed than her other beagle siblings lol... So it just gets tricky to try and get my one senior girl to eat more, and try and not let my beagles eat more calories than they need, and they are really quick food snatchers lol!) I've also heard that if a dog really isn't interested in eating, that sometimes offering (a very small amount of) wet cat food can entice them to eat... It will give them the runs like crazy though if that's all they have or if they eat a bunch at once (I think because cat food has much more protein than dogs need? My beagles, at least back when it was just my 2 beagles and I, loved sneaking and stealing my old housemate's cats' food, and good golly did that clean out their little bellies, in not a good way, haha... So if you, or anyone, decides to offer some cat food, at least do a Google search on the best way to do so so they don't get upset tummy... I don't recall the specific instructions that I've come across, though I would at least mix in some white rice if you don't see better advice) Sorry if I'm not sharing anything helpful, and maybe your pooch eats plenty and just isn't gaining weight for some reason? So if that's the case, I clearly don't know, though I would get it checked by a vet in case there's something further going on! Best wishes to you and everyone!

Hi Anna- dandelion leaf tincture is the best natural alternative at doses of 1/4ml/10lbs once-twice daily. Discuss with your vet, but it worked well for my last dog Jesse

Hey Sophia, I am having the same problem with my dog, she is 4 years old. Since I changed her feeding from kibble to homemade food she is showing incontinence, maybe it is that I am not giving her the proper amounts of each thing? I was wondering if you were able to find a satisfactory answer as I am worried about the same thing; taking her to the vet and having all kinds of tests and medications done that may not be the most appropriate. Could anyone else provide some insight on what to do in this specific case? I would not want to put her back on kibble under any circumstances, perhaps a raw diet would be more beneficial?

may be is too much protein? of course do not lower much but maybe decrease a little

Possible prostate/bladder infection. Additional fluid, honey at 1/2 teaspoon twice daily, and consider dandelion tincture

Regular honey? He's doing well so far, he's urinating without foul smell and clear, no spotting but still want to make sure he's ok

@@jacobvargas6367 I may have given her too much but she got diarrhea from it. Started her on Incurin which is working for her.... 2 tabs, 1 tab, 1/2 tab, and down to 1/2 tab 6 days/week. May lower dose again in the future.
