50 years ago, these two teams first met in the Stanley Cup Final...Bobby Orr's famous Cup-winning OT goal was very iconic, which was also the last time the B's won the Cup on home ice! 49 years later, it was a totally different story...this went the full seven games (first time since 2011), and it was St. Louis who finally won their first Stanley Cup, which was added to the city's sole Super Bowl title, as well as the city's sole NBA title, and 11 World Series titles!

Canes season ticket holder here. Yeah...we got swept by a better team. It happens. So be it. We are all proud of what our boys accomplished. It's just the beginning. The region has been re-ignited of a love of hockey by this team. I have friends and neighbors talking about hockey to me, and I live two hours away from Raleigh (11-game package). It's awesome. It's fun to be a Canes fan again. Saying that--#PlayGloria Come on Blues, keep us from another Boston championship.

Pretty spoiled place if you ask me. And any dynasty will bring arrogance in its wake. Heck NBA has that with the Golden State Warriors. (More on that later) Everyone else suffers. Sometimes I wonder if these pro sports actually are rigged. After the Super Bowl I said screw it it’s gonna be another Boston victory in hockey and basketball. Looks like I’m probably right about one of them. And to make matters worse, it will probably be Golden State win the NBA Finals yet again. The age of super-dynasties and Boston takeovers stabs 98% of the country (and 100% of Canada) straight in the heart and it’s only getting worse, while whenever anyone but Boston / New England, GSW, or even the fuckin’ Penguins gets a single title, it’s seen as groundbreaking.

This blues team reminds me of my 03 Marlins. Feeding on rats, lost in an abyss. Then new rookies help bring them back to life from nowhere. I love underdog stories and this one is perfect just like that one. Wash away the pain, hoist the cup, AND TAKE YOUR REVENGE.
