Few people know of all the mergers that made the new American Airlines. American’s management team is still largely formed by former America West executives. Kinda crazy how they merged their way to the top.

Very interesting video. I always found it odd that US Airways was rated so low. In one of my former projects, I had to travel weekly to various cities across the U.S. After having experienced Delta, United and Southwest, I began to exclusively use US Airways. The service was superior, and unlike Southwest, the flights were not canceled on a whim. I was very concerned about the merger with American because that formerly great airline had become a nightmare to fly. I theorized that the result would be similar to the Continental/United merger where a well respected airline (Continental under the leadership of Gordon Bethune) degraded into an airline with at best mediocre service. Fortunately that hasn't happened. I have found the new American to be a far more pleasant experience than I expected. For me they seem to have retained what in my experience was the superior customer service of US Airways.

This video definitely deserves more views. Such nice production value, I hope the algorithm catches wind of this and allows it to get deserved recognition.
