From an 8mm film taken by a US Air Force sergeant. Soundtrack improvised by me. One viewer gives the following info: ROTC parade in Henry Barracks in Cayey Puerto Rico, home to several 65th Infantry regiment companies. Today (2016) it is the Cayey Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Many of the buildings seen in this movie still remain.

Great video! My Grand-father served in the 65th Infantry. A year later over 20,000 Puerto Ricans volunteered to fight in Korea. The 65th had a stellar combat record. As a boy I recall exploring the bastions of El Morro. Thanks for the memories.

I entered the army in1949 in New York City and in the Korean war I served with the 65 Infantry Regiment (Borinqueneers). Dedicated soldiers.

@The Great wolf : You are watching too much John Wayne movies. My job as a combat medic was to take care of the wounded when on a mission and sometimes the dead ones . So you see, i had my hands full .

My father, 93, entered the Army in 1948, and made both combat jumps in Korea with the 187th RCT, 11th Airborne Division.

Thanks for sharing! Henry Barracks was the heartbeat of Cayey. My parents told me Cayey's economy suffered greatly when troops left town.

My grandfather Victor Ocasio from San German he went to korea and his brother my uncle he was brigadier general from the National Guard in Puerto Rico Felix Enrique Ocasio
