US Forces load Howitzers bound for Ukraine

More than half of the M777 howitzer artillery units promised to Ukraine by the Pentagon have been delivered, according to US Defence officials.
Video, released by the US Air Force, shows Marines and Air Force personnel loading artillery on a C-17 Globemaster III at March Air Reserve base, in California, on April 26.
In April, the US announced it would send a total of 90 howitzers to support Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s invasion, along with nearly 184,000 shells. As of April 29, defense officials said that around 60 percent of the units were already on the ground in the country. The Pentagon says the howitzers would be “very effective” in fighting in the eastern Donbas region, where Russia has refocused much of its military effort.

Speaking as a Vietnamese soldier who know both the Russian and the American weapons, the American Howitzer is a POS! Once this artillery is fired, the Russians would know exactly where it is, and it will be destroyed in a matter of minutes! Oh, and assume that they will make it to the front line that is!!!

I know that we have nothing worth mentioning that could count as a military but we could send money to Ukraine that they could use to shop with the american or british arms contractors. Russia is attacking all of us and all of our values. We have to do everything we can to defend every square centimeter of Ukraine and drive them russian invaders out!

Nothing makes an American and a Brit happier than sacrificing soldiers and strangers thousands of miles away for their own interests by giving them more weapons to exterminate each other. In fact, US and UK are two biggest war profiteers the world has ever seen. The defense of Europe needs to be done now, lucky the ukrianians are fighting instead of the usa. What happens if Russia will invade a nato country? USA troops then will fight using these same weapons. In this situation us troops don't need to get involved and let's keep it that way. Help the Ukrainians win instead. These should have been there a week after war started, not MONTHS. The WEST could be kicking Putin's Military into the stone age. Yet were still deciding what to send and when to send it. Just goes to show NO LEADERSHIP by Europe or the US. All too afraid of Putin and why response has been little and so slow. Just like good old JOE. "Nope not going to let Ukraine have the Migs". Putin will bomb/shell Ukraine and destroy it's major cities and then leave and claim victory if he keeps just one little area of Ukraine. Ukraine just doesn't have the military (men and equipment) to bring this war to an end swiftly. Putin has both to drag this war out for as long as he wants.

Russia cannot be defeated....they have not used their best weapons yet...they want to avoid a nuke war.....NATO is backing Russia into a corner and they are already the corner but heading forwards.....with less than 15% of their regular army they have stomped Ukraine fighting against many nations undeclared armed forces and Nato weapons......It will end when the first tactical nuke is used

NATO is a paper tiger, if it was strong it would have attacked Russia. NATO only attacks weak countries after 10 years of embargo and 3 moths of shelling then move with 40 countries against unarmed milicia. Russia is a difficult pill for NATO don't believe your TV too much!

Canada is also providing 4 and Australia 6, to bring the total up to 100. The Australian M777s and munitions appear to have left Australia about a week ago via C17. In context , Ukraine now has twice as many M777s as the Australian Army!

Es ist ziemlich schlimm, wie ihr euch auf einen Krieg freut. Wie dumm kann man sein, einen Weltkrieg zu inszenieren? D ist sowieso schon am Ende und ich denke, dieses Jahr noch werden ihr von euren Freunden vernichtet. Hetze, Waffenlieferung und lächerliche Sanktionen gegen einen Krieg, der euch nichts angeht. D hat keinerlei Rechte sich aussenpolitisch auch nur zu äussern, denn es gibt noch keinen Friedensvertrag und laut den bisherigen Vereinbarungen inkl. 2+4-Vertrages hat D gravierende Einschränkungen. Insbesondere gegen einen Alliierten vorzugehen ist schon gravierend! Schade um das Land und den Völkern. Einst war es einmal schön, aber die Verrohung und der Götze Geld kennt leider keine Grenzen.

When our MLRS Battery was deployed to Desert Storm we flew everyone and everything in on C-5s. Time was of the essence. Ukraine should have had these weapons.
