This is another incredibly daring assault from the 59th Motorized Brigade. US service members tend to bad mouth the Humvee due to their questionable survivability against IEDs, but the fact it protected these fighters from a landmine is impressive!

NATO vehicles are doing a good job keeping Ukranian soldiers alive even when things go bad. It really makes a difference.

@@DmitryTurovsky not just NATO but the Australian Bushmasters are performing well. Quite a lot were destroyed in Afghanistan but not a single soldier was killed.

The HUMVEE's we have send from Belgium were all in great condition. They all got serviced and received a complete check over before they were shipped to the Ukraine. We don't want those men getting stranded because of a faulty HUMVEE.

@@wout4yt I don't work for the Belgian army. I work for the US army in Belgium and we put around 40 on trucks for the Ukranian forces. And some other trucks they needed.

Yeah. I have a Scottish friend, who came to Kyiv last year. It's actually a thing, because the rest of my European civilian friends do not go farther than Lviv. And most of them are afraid of event thinking of coming to Ukraine. The only guy who break that record is a Polish guy who lived for a week in a village near Zaporizhya that was some 20km from the frontline. Helped him as I could to have a good time in Kyiv. Those are a very brave nations, I guess. With their own different perception of a war.

The commander of the 59th Vadim Sukharevsky, 38 year old colonel, was the first officer in 2014 who gave an order to open fire at russian proxy forces in Donbas. Official Hero of Ukraine, owner of the Golden star - the highest military decoration in the country. Ex paratrooper, ex commander of the 503th marine battalion. He is concidered to be one of the 25 most influencial officers in the Ukrainian army.

@@sydorov Sukharevsky's "feat" has nothing to do with Girkin. He was moving towards Slavyansk as part of a military column. At that time, peaceful people came out to stop the war and columns from both sides. In the vicinity of Semenovka, people also came out to the column.Sukharevsky, despite the order not to shoot, opened fire on unarmed people.

The Humvee taking a direct hit and having the 2 guys inside surviving with seemingly little to no damage is just incredible, a testament to the vehicle's abilities. I saw the clip of the explosion from inside the humvee about a month ago in Telegram - so it's nice seeing the whole operation. Another great video.

The guy in the HUMVEE on the turret mount has been in two other HUMVEEs that got blown up. Surviving not one, not two, but three landmines in a HUMVEE has got to massively boost your confidence in the vehicle!

That Scotsman is a freaking boss! An lbv that barely covers a nipple no armor and his balls swinging in the breeze under a camo kilt. I thought I’d seen it all in the military but that man breaks the mold in the most hilarious and badass way imaginable. His style brings up a good talking point though. More armor and kit means more protection but slow movement and more energy exerted where the flipside is less weight more maneuverability but more danger. I’m a firm believer in each person weighing those odds for themselves and choosing a battle kit that suits them best so long as it isn’t a detriment to the overall mission. It’s really neat to see some of these mixed units and how they adapt to meet the needs of the individuals down to managing even the specific ammunition for all the preferred rifles amongst the unit. It’s not ideal to have so much different kit but this war has been extremely unique in that sense and Ukraine has done well to manage it.

I saw that assault a few days ago on Ukrinform TV, and I thought "damn, that was the closest one can come to dying from an anti-tank mine", nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan, where you could see your enemy or a trap that was in your way. Ukraine is more similar to Vietnam or Europe during World War II, and I sincerely admire those guys, even when they are in serious trouble, they put their minds to the matter and move forward.

Ukrainian soldiers are heroes for me and they deserve all the help - they must win and survive and they should be given everything to achieve their goal and defend their homeland. Unfortunately, there are still countries where politicians deal with matters only thinking about themselves. They promise to deliver weapons and then do not keep their promises. How many Leopard tanks were promised and how many were actually delivered? If you find the answer, I guarantee that it will be a huge surprise for you and you will doubt the sincere intentions of these politicians because the propaganda presents it completely differently.

@CombatArmsChannel 1:32 In regards to your comment "I wonder where he is from", that is Yuri, a soldier fighting for Ukraine with the KZfaq channel Nucking_Futs_Yuri. He is an American mechanic/engineer with ties to Ukraine who has been on the frontlines intermittently since 2014-2015, and serving with Ukrainian Forces since early 2022. He is the gunner in this video whose humvee is hit by artillery (edit: or a mine), where he receives a wound- he is okay and recovering back in the US with plans to return to Ukraine. That is the 3rd humvee that has been blown up with Yuri inside it since the start of Russia's full scale invasion, all caught on camera. Very much recommend visiting his KZfaq channel.

I have seen this video before and the land mine exploded somewhat under the engine while reversing, so the engine covered for some of the explosion, which were the soldiers luck 👍

I was with a mech (APC) unit in the Mekong delta of viet nam (67-68). The bad guys would put Chinese claymores in the trees at 6 feet to kill the men riding on top.

assaulting a trench with a 1:1 ratio AND you have to lookout for AT and AP mines AND lookout for freaking drones. smh absolutely blows my mind how much they have to deal with just to grab another chunk of ground.

This really puts things into perspective.. If you see the lines on the map move like 100 meters, maybe treeline by treeline, you think "Well that was not much progress", but it is so hard especially as a civilian to understand this. It may be "only" 100 meters, but it is hard fought territory. Full of trenches, mines and ambushes. Thank you, everyone pushing the russians back and thank you for giving us the pov of a veteran on this stuff, it is really very valuable to remind us to put things into perspective. Now I am a bit less ignorant, a lot more humbled and really hope you guys get every bit of support you need, everything the world can give you, to keep your people safe and to help liberate your country.

Hi, I'm a Ukrainian child. I live in the occupied Crimea. On February 24, 2022, I woke up to explosions. No, they didn't shoot at the Crimea. It was fired by Russian warships in Ukraine. They shot at my Ukraine. I was at school at the time. Arriving at the first lesson, I met a joyful guard who rejoiced at what was happening with the words "What a beautiful morning, young defenders of Russia!" At that moment I wanted to spit in his face, but I knew what consequences would follow. The next day I saw billboards in my city on which it was written "For the Army, For Russia, For the president" It's terrible. I immediately remembered the history lessons where we were told about Hitler and WW2. This situation was very similar and I was horrified by how many people support this war. Literally a month later, my favorite physics teacher came to class in a shirt with the letter Z. The younger classes in the drawing lesson did not draw a rainbow, but the letter Z and "patriotic" slogans. This task was given to the children by the teacher. One day, my school class and I were forced to stand in this terrible letter Z and wanted to photograph us in such a position as "patriots of our homeland". I didn't do it. I ran away from class, thanks to my homeroom teacher. Who understood that war is terrible and that it shouldn't happen like this. Sorry if this comment was written with errors. My English is not very good. I am extremely against this war and really want it to end as soon as possible. But on the side of Ukraine. Ukraine must win this unequal and unfair war. Thank you to everyone who supports my Ukraine. I can't describe how grateful I am to you. I wish you all peace. Glory to Ukraine!

Надеюсь, ребенок, ты вырос здоровым, после Оккупации Крыма, Украина решила что ты и твои родители - предатели, раз не уехали из крыма - и решили что вы должны сдохнуть от жажды, и без средств к существованию, и без доступа к интернету - попросив американцев не давать вам такой возможности пользоваться банковскими картами и играть в игры. А если бы ты хорошо учился в школе, то знал бы, что в 1917 г. "президент" российской империи убежал со своего поста, его поймали и убили, И после этого, пока была смута и временное правительство) были оккупированы территории России и на них создали страну УНР (Украинскую Народную Республику), которая через год решила стать СЕПАРАТИСТАМИ и уйти из состава России. И все это время ты и твои родители жили в стране оккупанте и сепаратисте, и не подозревали об этом. (а ваш президент Янукович, за которого голосовало большинство - остался жив и подал в суд на организовторов путча. ) А если ты поедешь в Украину ты узнаешь какие последствия ожидают таких как ты. - как только тебе исполнится 16-18 лет тебе дадут автомат и скжут идти убивать жителей востока Украины, и защитить желание Украины быть сепаратистами и продолжить оккупацию территорий Российской Империи, права на территории и долги перед западными странами унаследовала Российская Федирация.

@@dimitrius8095 Начну по порядку 1. Мы не голосовали на референдуме 2. Предатели только те, кто как-то способствовал и помогал РФ в этом. Обычные гражданские являются жертвами оккупации. 3. На данный момент в Крыму больше русских (которые приехали из России), чем коренных жителей Крыма 4. Насчёт блокады Крыма. Воду нам отключили не сразу, а через месяц после оккупации. Так что ни один человек от жажды не умер. 5. Санкции. Я полностью поддерживаю санкции, которые введены. По той причине, которой я указывал раньше. В данный момент, русских в Крыму больше, чем коренных жителей. 6. Я не понимаю, причем тут история, если мы говорим про 21 век, где Украина суверенное государство в признанных границах. 7. Президент РФ (Путин) признал Крым Украинской территорией, после чего успешно аннексировал его. Как так? 8. Я был в Украине полгода назад (мне 16). Под мобилизацию не попал и успешно выехал обратно. Так как призыв там с 18-ти лет, но берут в основном людей, достигшим 25-ти лет (детей (младше 25) стараются на войну не брать) 9. Украина воюет против Российской власти, а не против русских. На стороне Украины воюет огромное количество русских. 10. Насчёт нацистов в Украине. Да, в Украине есть нацисты, но их не больше 1% от всего населения. В каждой стране есть нацисты. В том числе и в России. И про Русский язык. Половина населения Украины общается на Русском языке, но их же не убивают за это. Тебя скорее убьют за Украинский язык в России, чем за Русский язык в Украине. (Знаю на опыте. К сожалению, но это правда. Если хочешь нормально влиться в российское общество , чтобы на тебя не смотрели криво. Говори только на русском.) 11. Российская империя в прошлом, как и Советский союз. Надо жить новой реальностью. Мы же не требовали Белгородскую область и Кубань, поскольку это территории Киевской Руси.

Из-за того что тебе 16 видимо мимо тебя прошли "Скакания" и "москаляку на геляку"... Это никак не вяжется, с утверждением, что не воюют не с росиянами=москалями. После свержения президента, Украина2010 перестала существовать, и администрация Крыма имела полное право изменить свою государственность. Точно так же как Украина1991 смогла самоопределиться и проявить сепаратизм и выйти из состава СССР, незаконно с нарушениями, в момент путча. Коренное население в Крыму это русские и крымские татары, украинцы - это перемещеное население во времена коммунистической "оккупации", и они хотят вернуться в закорпатье обратно.

The threat of low flying drones packed with ordinance in addition to the myriad of scattered landmines in addition to an entrenched enemy that is almost invisible in this terrain just about sums up the hard yards these Ukrainian soldiers have to fight through day after day. The courage, skill and determination of these warriors is second to none and remember this - in the war against the Russian invaders they fight for all of us and we MUST give them everything, absolutely everything they need to be victorious.
