The rope creation was nice. I like doing small additions to make sure my models are realistic as possible. Great job. Can't wait for the next project. Have a great weekend.

Well done Johnny, a nicely finished product in the end. I'm particularly impressed by the rope coils and how you put them together, they really do look good. The wire running through the stern railing also helps to make the finished product look more realistic. Well done.

Thank you very much Gerry! I always enjoy the opportunity to do a little extra to the build, I thought the ropes was something that Revell should have thought of, lol, and it's easy to do with thread and looks good. Thanks for all of your support my friend. Good luck with your Swift Boat build. Model on. Johnny

Hi Johnny, absolutely brilliant once again. The anchor rope was a fantastic idea. Nearly lost my false teeth when you said cushiony things! 😂😂

Yeah! It came out pretty nice! I built this same kit a while back, and had lots of fun with it. That star on top was fiddly for sure. Never used the clear plastic junk for the windows Revell provided. They should haved used solid clear plastic I think. Yeah, I made my own rope and railings etc. Overall it's a nice kit, and you did a great job on it!

Thank you for sharing your knowlegde here. I love your videos because you explain clearly what you do and why is that. These are perfect tutorials for beginners like me. I decided to build this model after watching your videos. Hope you won't mind if I ask for advice here. I want to brush paint my model with Revell enamels. Would it fine if I use gloss clear acrylic paint before decals and weathering (based on oil paints) and then, protect everything with acrylic flat clear paint? All brush painted. I did search google, but there are so many different opinions that I feel even more confused than before. And sorry for my poor English.

I think your English is just fine, it's my English that could use some help! 😊And never hesitate to ask me anything, I love to help anyone that wants it. As to your question, the simple answer is yes you can use acrylics over enamels, and vice versa. But, there is always a but, enamels as you know are solvent based (thinner), so use acrylics that are water based so there isn't any issue with the acrylic dissolving the enamels. I mention this because one of the most used model paint brands is Tamiya, and their XF acrylics are solvent based, which can soften enamels if painted over them until they fully cure. Hope this helps. Good luck with your build, take care and have fun my friend!!! Johnny

@@hillbillymodeling Thanks a lot! You are very king. Right, I was afraid of messing up base paint when using wrong clear coat and wash. I'll look for water based acrylic clear paint, or at least make sure enamels are well cured (5-7 days probably) before applying any coats that could supposedly soften them. BTW, my previous and the first ever plastic model was PT-109 built just after seeing your videos :) Greetings from Poland, stay safe and healthy and keep up your great work! Mateusz

Oh here I go again Johnny (not you sir for the audience) if you are referring to a tie of point on shore these are called Bollards. If you are referring to a tie point on a vessel these are called Bits. I am not making this up, it's is what it is go figger.

Hi Johnny, great job on the flag. The most important element of the build. Thanks for honoring it!! The windows did seem to go in easy enough. The anchor detail is awesome. Overall the boat looks good. Maybe some more chipping to breakup the color? Great job my friend, Thank You for the Nautical build. I enjoyed this build series very much. Mikey V.
