For years the West has put up with North Korea’s threats and colourful prose.
But now the US President is using similar language, and the world is forced to take notice.
All prompted by Kim Jong-Un's threats for missile strikes on a tiny island in the Pacific - the US territory of Guam.

China doesn't want US troops on its door step. Its interests are in a united Korea without US Troops or the status quo.

I havent been to Guam - its 3000km from here but the plane routes make that a 12-hour ordeal - but I *have* been to Seoul. The thought of a highly developed, industrialised city of 10 million people being reduced to a war zone is unthinkable, but that's exactly what's at risk here. Kim Jong-Un has no interest in Guam beyoond being able to rattle his sabre, but South Korea is a completely different target - sooner or later, the world has to confront the reality that the Korean War never actually ended.

One problem is that the US has never been officially at war in Korea so they would have to admit to that before the could sign a peace treaty.

yea no one ever talks about how this agreement did absolutely nothing and was seen as a joke by the North Koreans. They continued on the path to developing nuclear weapons regardless.

Connor Schultz - Korea was occupied by Japan and they liberated themselves from the Japanese rule during WW2 , i think US and Soviet Union intervened and helped the liberation of Korea. Its not too bad.
