In the UK it's around 20-24k. The UK is such a poor country. Even the infrastructures are century old and there is no money even to get a new roof and get a paint job every 10 years. Everything in the UK is smaller and broken.

The UK is piss poor and there's no respect for our healthcare workers. Its good for experience but its just not paid respectfully.

I totally agree with you re that. If I worked and I did over the years re for an agency I got paid substantially more than a regular employed nurse. HOWEVER I can see that some agencies would be devious when it comes to ie foreign nurses working through an agency etc. Also of course it would depend on what percentage the agency took ?

Nurses there in the US get more respect & autonomy more than here..full time nurse works same hours same as US, 37.5 hrs a week. Life balance depends on your priority, coz a lot of nurses here too work over time coz that’s their choice.

I've been in the US before. In the future, gusto ko naman i-try sa UK. Lahat na lang nandon na sa US. Kainis andami na din don tnt. Hirap na tuloy kumuha ng visa.

@@maretvilla1531 Benefits is far better in the UK with almost everything specially if you are thinking to have a family in the future. US is good because they pay more but you work more for that and it's only good when you are young not when you start getting sick.. here in the UK you go in the hospital and go home with zero bill it doesnt matter if it's a 1 Million bill and on top of that you are paid whilst sick. Also you have 7 weeks paid annual leave and it's up to you if you want to convert it as bank shifts which you will be paid on top of your annual leave pay. The life balance here is far better.. I have families in the US and they moan about this all the time. Good luck! 😊

@@Hartchell In 🇺🇸, there are 3 ways to get health insurance: by employer( majority choice for Americans), by personal private insurance( choice by business owners and self employed) and by gov't free health insurance: Medicare for 65 and older and Medicaid for low income families. Big difference with health insurance in 🇺🇸 and UK: in 🇬🇧, you have a long waiting list before you get your free service. My bestfriend in Canada, a nurse, just had subarachnoid hemorrhage after she fell on her way to her car during a freezing rain. Guess what's the treatment? Tylenol and more Tylenol. She's feeling pain in her stomach from getting too much acid from Tylenol. She was never confined in a hospital. They never admitted her for observation. Just Tylenol. That's why she and her husband said so this is what free healthcare is all about. No private hospital. No private doctors. No petsonal choice if you want to admit yourself in a hospital or not. The gov't gets to decide if you need hospital or not. The doctors loyalty is to the govt, their boss, and not to the patients. And. You just have to get used to long wait and subpar medical care. She only got better 2 weeks ago after a friend told her to try chiropractor. First visit, her blood pressure went down and she was able to fall asleep. She's still not completely healed but she's improving. Btw, they also have sick leave here. The best part, half of your salary don't go to gov't . I believe America is better for nurses than anywhere else in the world.

@@maretvilla1531 I totally agree with you. Healthcare in UK and Canada are not free, they pay high taxes to fund their BASIC rationed care with waiting lists for specialists and surgeons. Their basic care is fine but for specialist care and surgeries, US has the best doctors because the best come from all over the world to work in US due to high pay. Plus US has Obamacare now so people who do not make much are subsidized by the govt or Medicaid, free to almost free medical and dental. Poor and disabled have free Medicaid(dental and medical) and over 65 have Medicare in US. Almost everyone is covered in US now because of Obamacare, some people choose not to be covered and would rather spend their money on material possessions. Bills and healthcare premiums/co-pays are NEGLIGIBLE, US nurses do not worry about it because they make great money in US. CNA salary in US is better than UKRN salary. NHS nurses have been moving to US and Australia in DROVES for better pay and working conditions. Dental/vision/pharmacy and are covered in US, not fully covered in UK and Canada, they pay for meds, dental and eyeglasses. People are just envious because they cannot work in US. It is possible to retire early in US in your 30s, 40s or 50s with good financial planning, cannot do that in UK or Canada because their respective govts suck more of their money through high taxes and VAT. How can one save/invest in UK and Canada? Professional Canadians and Brits come to US to work for more money and a more secure future for them and their family. Period.

Come to California! 65$/hr ( This is an educated guess 😁, I don’t exactly know how much new grad pay is now but it’s a little less than experienced RNs) health, vision, dental insurance including family up to 2 children, 3 12 hr shifts is full time. Yang balance na sinasabi nila palagi nasa nurse yan. Kung maraming bag na mamahalin o kaya padala ng padala sa Pilipinas dahil pasan mo ang daigdig, dyan nagkaka sakit ang marami. Kumukuha ng 2nd job etc. Hay nako, 18 years na ako dito sa California, I am grateful everyday.

Manong George weather in Australia varies from one region to another. Tasmania and Victoria climate is very similar to the UK and you can play in the snow in winter in some areas. North Queensland is tropical like the Philippines.

When i was working in Saudi Arabia i know each Countries Salary Saudi Arabia pays zone1 like a US pay.I have a friend on british passport he knows my salary as American is higher than him.Not all nurses from the Philippines passed NCLEX so they go to facility or home health Nursing.Pay is low in that place.If The RN with experienced is paid 37 to 60 dollar per hr then the hospital is a tertiary hospital.

You are right about that. 3 daysx 12 hours in the US is what we really need as fulltime. Ive noticed US nurses work 2 jobs or more because we ought to give in to consumerism unfortunately. That's what i have been trying to tell myself for 5 years as an RN: work life balance if we choose to. Less material things, less stress, and more vacation.

I worked very hard, saved and invested most of my money in US instead of govt handling my money for me and retired at 38, can you do that in UK? UK, France and other Europe govts are slowly increasing hours and applying austerity measures to avoid a Greece-like economic disaster. Europeans have been spoiled with more vacations but low pay. Once EU govts start applying austerity measures like in France a few months ago, riots will ensue. In US, it is more balanced and we also have 11 paid holidays and plenty of vacation days too in US, 4-6 weeks once accumulated. if you work a holiday in US, it is DOUBLE pay. Many US RNs work for US or State/County govt too for same leave benefits like NHS but much higher pay. Traveling and vacations are NOT fun when you do not have much money in your pocket and cannot save for retirement. Think long term, US is best for type A personalities who are driven to succeed. UK/Europe is for type B personalities. Good luck in UK NHS, it sucks balls there for type A personalities who want to get rich and be set for life. Again, can you retire at 38 in UK when UK govt keeps most of your money??

But most of the high salaried nurses in the US like agency, travelling, and PRN nurses have no paid vacation and sick leaves, or if there are, very minimal paid vacation and sick leaves.

I also think US will outshine every other countries on your list when it comes to salary. However, when it comes to the overall quality of life, I think the UK and all the other countries mentioned will take over the crown. There is a reason why safety nets for UK, AUS, and Canada are the best among the rest. Also, let us not forget about the incredible healthcare available in UK. experience is not a must but it will help you once in the US.most important is you pass the exams and have the license to practice nursing in the US.They won't even ask for your grades or where you graduated from.

As an ex military trained nurse of over 40 years and having worked abroad (refugee units etc) plus Nursing, nursing advanced training in theatre, burns, plastics, renal dialysis (Kings College London) trauma, nuclear response tactical, emergency overseas taskforce deployment to count just a few of my skills including A and E NHS (UK) etc I can honestly say that overall the UK still offers some of the best options for families re certain options that WILL COST you in other countries. The USA like a few other countries are business ventures when it comes to medical services. Take the cost of an ambulance called to pick you as an ill person to take you hospital before you even take into account the cost of your medical treatments, drugs and more enough to if you haven't already had one; give you a heart attack. 👀

@@arthurdanielles4784 If you work or retired as a nurse in US, you will be a lot richer with monthly income streams from your 401K, SS and other investments so bills and medical/dental coverage insurance(your small co-pays)will be pocket change. 65 and over have Medicare coverage, health expenses will be minimal especially as a rich retired nurse. Cost of ambulance is covered by insurance and Medicare. Plus, how many times will you be riding an ambulance and or get hospitalized anyway? EVEN working-age nurses do NOT worry about small things like bills and insurance coverage premiums as employers cover 50-100% of monthly premiums, and US nurses make BIG BUCKS. You missed a chance to make big bucks and get rich in US big time.

As far as vacation is concerned, it really depends. In our hospital we have Paid time off and it is cumulative. I usually get as much vacation time of up to one month as long as your PTO hours is enough. So it really varies. In fact, it can even be more than a month as long as approved din ng boss or director. I guess different hospital varies in their policies/benefits.

Very true, working for the Federal, State, County or City govt is great because of pensions. I agree with you, I am triple-dipping and still have monthly Social Security and 401K payouts to collect in the future, 5 checks total when I hit 62, could delay SS until I hit 65 or 67. *If a nurse wants to make a lot of money and join the upper income class or get rich and retire rich or comfortably with no worries, work in USA. If a nurse is content with middle class life and a small house/car and small pension in the future, work in UK.* MOST nurses prefer USA because there are plenty of educational and FLEXIBLE job opportunities for them, they do not just work in hospitals, some nurses are in schools, outpatient clinics, in health informatics, some work for health insurance companies, some work as advice nurse via phone only or do quality/case management only or utilization review making BIG BUCKS. Some US nurses work form home. US nurses mostly work 72 hours per week so there is PLENTY of time for leisure.

paeng guin l have all those quadruple dipping as you mention you don’t have to wait for 65 yrs to collect your sss since you work with the govt its long story to explain check with sss. I am just proud that I’m retired n knows how to invest for my future as well as for my family. If all RN knows what to do not just atm you are one of the lucky person too congrats.

I understand. 62 is early retirement with SS. Even younger if deemed disabled by SS, disabled get paid SSDI (Social Security Disabled Insurance). US is best for nurses, hands down. I know retired military nurses who are Quintuple dipping: military retirement, federal pension, VA disability, SS, and TSP(govt 401K). 5 checks per month for life. NOT possible in UK or anywhere in the world.
