If you have received your U.S. Passport, here are the first things you should do as soon as you receive it!
Apply for your first passport here:
travel.state.gov
Disclaimers:
Your passport may or may not be exactly the same as mine. There are two different passports, a regular and a large book for those who know they are frequent flyers. As this is my first US Passport and i'm not sure how much I would be able to travel, I simply chose the regular passport book.

@MabelleAcala sorry for the late response. I was traveling and did not get a chance to review comments and respond. I only signed my signature. I figured the full name is already on the other page, I think signature was all that was needed.

@@thisispjae4travel Basically my uncle who's an american citizen applied family type of petition for me and my mom to go live there. Originally it takes 10 years but due to corona , the office stopped working for 3 whole years. It's taking much longer since 2020. I'm finding it real difficult to wait any longer. I wanna hurry and build my future in the US. All my mom's family live there (except her parents). I wonder if there's any way to make it faster😅😅

Have you tried looking at some work visas instead? That might be faster for you, but i’m not sure if you would be able to take your mom though. I haven’t researched work visas that much yet.

Can I still use my passport on end of January 2024 till March 2024, when my passport will expire on august same year? Thank you!
@thisispjae4travel
@thisispjae4travel 11 ай бұрын
March 2024 would be cutting it close. If I remember correctly, airlines ask that your passport be valid (won’t expire) for at least 6 months. If you are coming back to your home country (US) where you can renew your passport, you might be able to. But I would suggest to get it renewed before you travel if you can.

I am an natural born us citizen and ethically an American by birth. With the exception of my native lines my most of my ancestors came during the 1500-1750s before it was an country. It's amazes me on why do people want our citizenship. I want others so that I can just denounced mine. Very horrible country to live in and how they treat you is also very horrible. We are the only country that does citizenship base taxation and objectively they do not care for their citizens. Everything is so broken and corrupt in this country. Sure we have some of the highest wages in the world but after the deductions such as insurances we do not. We keep the least of our paychecks.

I understand what you mean. Though I am now a naturalized citizen, I chose to be one based on my facts and the realities of my situation. It would be different to every individual as it will be based on what situation other people are in. I was not born in this country, but this country is where I live, where I grew up, and mostly what influenced me as a child. However, not being a citizen does not offer or help me though I do my due diligence in the country. I figured, this is where I live, I might as well be a citizen here instead of being a citizen to a country I'm not even remotely familiar with (i was born there, but did not grow up nor was fully educated of the country I was born in).

@@thisispjae4travel If you live in a country long term you might of well be a full citizen for full rights. So you do have a point there.

So you're Spanish? The British didn't even get here until the 1600s and I highly doubt your ancestors were at Jamestown. I know if I didn't like where I lived I would have left at 18. You don't have to pay taxes if you never come back. Then again if you go to Europe you're going to be paying 60% in taxes instead of 22-24%

@@Joker-no1uh the US still charges you income tax no matter where you live in the world. the only way out of it is to renounce your citizenship. and some people have been here a long time. my ancestors came to america in 1619.
