I thought Red voice was dubbed but NO - Lupita gave an interview and said she actually learnt how to talk like that with vocal coach without damaging her vocal chords ... Well that's dedication to your craft 💯

The song always had a chilling hook, back in the day, when I use to listen to it; however, the remix at the end, made this song just full of terror and unbearably hunting to sit through.... and I LOVE IT!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

"Femme Fetale" at 0:34:49 was probably my most favorite scene in the movie; scenes in which show true psychotic nature are genuine art and acting at it's best. One can also interpret this scene of happiness in the mirror finding ones own wall in which they can mask their true self... or it could represent how makeup is used to make one feel happy or beautiful. it leaves me thinking and I love it

if you truly get the movie and get all the motives, you‘ll realize how good this movie actually is

Ok but the track “Human” at 49:51 is chilling and an underrated masterpiece tbh. Every time I hear this, I can just picture the scene where the Tethered are forced to messily copy their above-ground counterparts, at least as best as they can due to them being trapped in the tunnels.

Michael Abels paid a lot of great homage to previous horror/suspense themes: The long, dissonant violins @ 5:00 is reminiscent of the way Kubrick uses Lontano in the Shining. The use of bass/strings @ 9:30 and 10:43 is very Hitchcock/Pyscho. 11:07, Jonny Greenwood from There Will be Blood. The string plucks @ 18:05: Krystof Penderecki in The Shining. Use of the synth/digeridoo @ 20:33: Javier Navarette in "Extending Mirrors"

SPOILER ALERTS BELOW At 1:01:06, if I’m not wrong, that’s the final mirror room scene. And it really sends chills down my spine thinking about the motivation behind our Adelaide’s fight. In the beginning when she’s scared of going back to the beach, this isn’t just some little girl frightening of another girl that looked like her from her childhood, this is a woman remembering her life below the sand and being able to feel the movements of the person they’re tethered to and being terrified of their retribution (rightly so, might I add). I mean, if you were “Red”, what do you do? You’ve awoken in a strange, terrifying world of what are essentially zombies to a young child, and you have to eat rabbit now. Nothing soft. She described it all in her initial monologue. Wouldn’t you try to rebel, knowing what life you had beforehand? What was stolen from you? Then again, Adelaide never asked to be made a clone of someone and kept like leftover livestock in an abandoned tunnel. I just think it’s amazing how Peele’s movies are almost always better the second or third time through, being able to see hidden motivations. Do you think Red truly loved her monstrous children? Did she feel a familial bond for anyone down there when she was essentially forced into every relationship? On the flip side, if Adelaide made it upworld and is living successfully, who’s to say any of the tethered couldn’t have? What’s stopping them? Just the fact that someone’s already filled their spot? Or the fact that they have no concept of even trying to go up? Really makes you think.

Jordan Peele's mind...Michael Abels' music... I definitely won't be watching that movie again any time soon. It was genius, of course I enjoyed it...but...I left that cinema feeling so damn troubled. I strongly recommend to those who've not seen it yet. DO NOT, watch that movie by yourself.

EVERYTHING in this movie had meaning, even the song titles! Immolation, as in offering or sacrifice, like how in that same scene Red sacrificed Pluto to get Jason! Or even Anthem, as in a national Anthem, pointing to Us' secondary meaning of United States!

its funny anthem reminds me of that song at the credits they played for the movie Coraline just more up beat. It also funny because like this movie Us, Coraline had dooplgangers too but slightly different bc of the button eyes. either way both the songs gave me the same creepy chilling feel and i love them so much💜

As soon as i heard that anthem...i m here. Didnt even watch the movie fully yet lol

Imagine you surrounded by hundreds of undead, you fighting well, but you are outnumbered and loosing your stamina and strength from all the tiny injuries you received killing all those undeads. And when you think it is all over and starting to loose hope, White Walker shows up and gives you a chance to go one on one, it is not much but a hope, you get him, you will live and it will be all over. You charging him with what you have, but he dominates you, puts you down on a ground and prepares to strike a final blow, you pretend you done and can't move, but just before he strikes you and are off guard, you just stab him with a sucker punch move. He turns to ice, all undeads collapse, you won, sweat victory in a face of impossible, you lie down overjoyed and shocked that you still alive and it is all over. And when you at your peak of your massive relief and ecstasy, you see thousands of shadows approaching you within a horizon with NK marching towards you and... 54:54 starts. This is how it feels listening to this score :)
