Attendees of a US State Department press briefing on Monday burst into laughter after spokesperson Matthew Miller, who said that the US “doesn’t dictate to any country what it must do”, was corrected by AP journalist Matt Lee, who said: “Unless you invade them.”
The interruption came as Miller was answering a question on the US not using its leverage to put pressure on the Israeli government to work towards a two-state solution.
